Back in the "good ole days" we knew the folks who owned the business where we spent our money. With the rise of big corporations those days have almost disappeared. The down side of this is we often deal with low paid employees who have no personal stake in the business and have no real authority to solve disputes, because they are required to follow inflexible corporate rules and regulations. I didn't find that at James Auto Center where I received personal service from the owner and his wife. If you have a complaint, you can go directly to the owners who will listen and bend over backward to solve the problem and make you a satisfied customer. James Auto center does cost more, but you get what you pay for. They provide personal service, they do a thorough and complete job, and they stand solidly behind their work. The mechanics have a high level of expertise and experience, and you get personal service by nice people who really care about their customers and their business.
