Nicole is a terriffic stylist!!\r \r Nicole has been my stylist for years. She educates her clients on whats best for their hair. Even though the salon is Davidson and I live in Charlotte, I am most certain I will make the trip regardless of location because I know i will be satisfied with the service. What I like most about her is she focuses only her clients from the beginning to end of their appointment; nothing distracts her at all from giving her clients the best service. Nicole is an expert and educator on the Lasio Brazillian Hair Straightner. I was one of her first clients who decided to try the treatment, and its been 2 years and I have not turned back since. It leaves your hair bouncy, silky, and flowing in the wind with no frizz!!! I had an appointment last week for my Brazillian and I got so many compliments. I just love my hair!!!!!! I have been a client of Nicole's since I moved to Charlotte in 2005. I have followed her from salon to salon faithfully. I live in Charlotte and will have no problem or hesitation with making the trip to Davidson for service on a regular basis. She is nice and very professional and has a vast knowledge of my hair type and the products required to manage it to my liking. She is great at applying the Brazillian straightner. I loved the way it makes my hair. NO FRIZZ!! If you know me, that is saying a lot!\r If you live in Davidson, or Charlotte for that matter and are in need of a sylist, stop by this shop! I am sure that anyone that works here can give you great service! I have already been referring her to family and friends for years. more

Beth Rouse SAVED my hair! I do not have the words to describe just how talented she is. Before I went to her, my almost shoulder length tri-colored hair looked horrible - gray, extremely color-resistant roots, changing into vivid carrot orange, changing into black cherry. I tried to find a worse looking hair disaster photo on the internet and nothing came even close. How it happened – another stylist had processed my hair making it more porous to color as well as causing breakage, hair loss and frizz. My color, which I had done myself for many years, was getting darker and darker. I was afraid to use boxed color and started using henna and indigo, instead. Big mistake! Henna and indigo are so permanent, usually the treated hair has to be cut off if you don’t like the color and I really didn’t want short hair. I was in hair hell! I presented Beth with the ultimate challenge. She started out by taking photos, as she admitted, it was the worst hair color she had ever seen. She set to work and was able to remove the henna, the indigo, the older dye underneath and recolor with a beautiful light brown which looks great with my skin tone. She also gave me a super cut, only taking a little off the ends. My husband, upon seeing me said, “You can go out in public again!” and that Beth was “an absolute genius!” I am profoundly grateful for Beth giving me nice hair, again. Want great hair color? OMGGGG!! This is the best salon in town. i loooove this salon .First off the employess are amazingggg. I always get my hair cut, colored, and styled by Ron Hylton. He had an accident about a year ago and he is stil the best hairdresser I know. I can tell him how I want my hair and that's how he always gives it to me the exact way I describe it. The service is sooooo grreat and everyone is more than nice. They offer you drinks and snacks for great relaxtion and a day at the spa.The atmosphere is amazing and a person couldnt ask for better service. Everyone is sooo nice there and they treat you really nice. They offer the cut, color, and style, with addistion of waxing if needed!! ;) I love Ron soooo much he does such a great job and he;s sooo considerate and understanding of what the client wants. I reccomend the Ultimate Salon for anyone and everyone in a fairly close distance to Davidson, North Carolina!!!! It's a great place to get pampered and to have fun all at once. I'm never disappointed when I leave and they always make me feel beautiful and amazing!! :D more

I love getting my hair done by Lula, she is fabulous! I've been going to her for years now and can't even think of going to anyone else. Sometimes I come in with crazy ideas, like chopping my long curly hair into a pixie cut and she always provides constructive feedback on what will and will not look good for my hair type and face shape. I also like to play around with color - nothing crazy, but I've been blone, super dark and everything in between - each time Lula has done a great job nailing the color and style I'm going for! \r \r would I call this place upscale - no. It's newer - established in 2008 so it may seem a little upscale, but I find It's a nice relaxing atmopshere. \r are the prices here high - in my opinion you get what you pay for, so no. \r How to stay stylish in a down economy - I've gone back to a more natural color and highlight so that I can extend the time between my visits. Pros: service is great, color is wonderful, stylist listens Cons: can't think of any more

I didn't get the highlights I wanted/requested and I was not satisfied with the cut and style. And when I tried to talk to the stylist all I got was ATTiTUDE and DEFENSIVENESS. This was not my first visit (and I was happy with the services before) but this was definately my last. Prices are high, but everywhere in the area is also. I think the salon should stand behind there work and if you are not 100% happy with services they should be considerate enough to help make the client happy/satisfied or give them a refund. \r \r Another thing: don't offer to people over priced service (eyelash extensions) when you know they are on a budget. I can't say enough fabulous things about ultimate salon!!! Everytime i enter the doors I am greeted with smiling faces :). Their prices are perfect for the stellar services that they provide!!! Lula has been doing my hair for awhile now and let me tell you...she is amazing! When I first moved to Charlotte I searched everywhere for the perfect stylist and I found all I wanted and much in more in Lula! I know that I will walk out after a visit with Lula feeling better and beautiful. She is professional and her knowledge on all apects of beauty are beyond perfection! I don't usually write reviews on the internet; however, I found Ultimate Salon (located in downtown Davidson) through this website. Everything that has already been said on this site about Ultimate Salon is so true--this has to be Lake Norman's best kept secret! I had the pleasure of having my hair cut and styled by Ron today. He did a superb job for a very reasonable price. As an added plus, Ron is very knowledgeable about hair care and willing to share a lot of styling tips. I'm really glad that I found this gem! more

I have known the owners for several years and have would not let anyone else do my hair. The entire staff is extremely knowlegable and really listen to the desires of the customers. They get to know your personality and have the philosophy that your hair style, color and care has to be a total fit with you and your lifestyle. They truly are caring people and will treat you like family. the service is A+++ the price is great, the quality is A+++. the total experience is relaxing. I like the decor and the cleanliness. You can't get any better then this. The owners of the salon are the most honest and caring people you will ever meet. They care about every client that walks in the salon. The owners are great and so is the service. I have never had a cut, highlight and color like Ron's. He always listens to me and makes me look beautiful. I always feel so good when I leave. Tammy has been my stylist for about four years and I'd never trade her in. She has a great artistic ability to create the perfect coloring for my high and low lights.
