J Anthony Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

This Company has lied so many times. They have taken advantage of my Elderly parents. Ron Sanderson the owner has promised since Dec 2013 to refund my parents money,due to the tech saying that we had a broken compressor. The J anthony company said we had to put in a new unit for 6,500.00. Which we gave them half. We had another licensed company come out and said it only needed a capicitor and a thermostat. Cost a total of 295.00. I could write a book on this transaction. Please Buyer beware, they are not up and up. We took them to court , in front of the mediator they promised to pay back the money by today., still nothing. I checked their license today, it is in Suspense, with no workman's comp in place. l more

Had these guys to the home last week and it was a joke. After charging a hefty service fee, a later confirmed wrong (and hastily made) diagnosis, we could see right through these guys. Believe me, I can spot poor business and poor work ethics and I saw it clearly today! This company apparently has one goal in mind: get-in, bill-high, and get out as quickly as possible with as much money as possible, having done as little legitimate, quality work as possible. more

Just had the guys from J. Anthony out to the house to fix my water heater. I can not say enough about their repair tach Steve. He was really neat & he even found a gas leak. Two tunbs up for this guy! more

When my furnace stopped working we called them for service. The "tech" come out, opened up the unit and immediately pointed to a control panel and said that was the problem. Zero time was spent checking the equipment and then he proceed to tell me $565.00 would fix the problem. He then charged $65 for a service call. I decided to call for another opinion because something didn't seem right. I had Brothers H & C come out after a recommendation. They brought out their equipment, checked a few thngs and proceeded to inform me the thermostat was the problem and changed it. Total cost including labor was well under $200. When I called J. Anthony to tell them, they informed me that this was their opinion and they had sent out their best "tech" to diagnose the probelm. The fact is, they weren't even close. Watch out for J. Anthony. Not very competent. more

On July 26th, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Terry from J. Anthony Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning came to check our air conditioners for Regular Maintenance. They were running perfectly but he found water in the furnaces and said it could cause a short in the electrical system and the areas underneath were most likely filled with water (they were not!) and he did not know why. \r He also said those units (Lennox) would only last about 12 years and needed to be replaced since they were installed in 1996. $12,000 would cover everything, but they never pulled a permit according to the county office. (Kevin said they did). \r Terry said he could have the old units removed and new units installed in six hours that day. By 7:00 p.m. (ten hours later) they hooked up the air for the bedrooms but had to finish the next day. The workers looked everywhere for the condenser pipes and finally found them completely buried. That obviously was the reason for the water accumulating in the furnaces. When I brought this to the attention of Kevin he cussed me out and hung up!\r On 8/4, 8/17 and 8/26 I asked for an itemized bill (for possible rebates) but Kevin refuses to comply.\r \r more

I called these guys at 10:30 at night because my sprinkler valve was broke and shooting water everywhere.. I asked him what to do.. he said save money... he told me how to shut the water off at the main and told me to call my gardner first thing in the am.. it could have cost me a service fee but they did the right thing... they called me in the morning to make sure everything worked out....!!! Without peer, the worst company I have ever done business with. If you are reading this review, whatever you do; stay away from these guys. They overcharge, did not do the job properly, and when I complained and called to get the name of the owner, they refused to give it to me.\r \r I have since spoken with several other people in Palm Springs who have told me the same thing. I have never written a review like this before; but as a long time homeowner who has worked with dozens of companies over my lifetime - this was the worst. Stay away!!!!!! more

The pan under the unit is leaking all over the roof - it's NOT repairable 2. The motor is pulling 32 amps, twice what it should. We called the warranty company and I went on the roof with him. 1. The unit had not been cleaned! There were leaves everywhere. I took pictures and sent them to J. Anthony. 2. The unit was drawing 14 amps, as stated on the unit 3. The pan was not leaking 4. The warranty person showed me J. Anthony never opened the unit. The J. Anthony manager confirmed they don't open the units - even after I stated I wanted the unit checked. I called J. Anthony who refused to refund my money. He said he would send someone out to clean the unit again. Why was it not cleaned in the first place and WHY DID TERRY LIE TO ME about the condition of the unit? STAY AWAY FROM J. ANTHONY AIR CONDITIONING.
