Istorage Smithville

We've been storing our RV at iStorage of Smithville and haven't had any problems in the three or four months it's been there. The guy who manages the place is very nice and cordial. He showed us around when we first got there and was very helpful. Getting in or out of the facility has been smooth. more

I initially started storing with iStorage Smithville after Hurricane Sandy. A lot of people had taken a lot of damage and had belongings to store. The facility were nearby my house that got damaged, so I took advantage of an offer they were making to people affected by Sandy. They were offering two months for a one month starting fee, so that's what attracted me to them initially. I had a double unit with them for about eight or nine months. It was a very good experience. The facility was clean, and the security was good. In dealing with them, I found they were business-like but they weren't remote. It was like dealing with anybody. It wasn't like it was some remote business somewhere. They went out of their way to accommodate me. They even made a truck available to me so I could add to the items I was storing. They really worked with me. They called with reminders if I hadn't paid by the first or second of the month. In general it was a very good experience. The people there who helped me, Julie and a young man, were really exceptional people. iStorage Smithville is lucky to have them! more

The guy at the front desk at iStorage of Smithville was very helpful. He not only helped me, but also other people who were there the day I was. I was going to rent a truck for a day but then realized I didn't need it that particular day. So the front desk guy actually ran out of the door to let a girl who had just left know she could go ahead and have it. A lot of people would have just let it go and done nothing! more

Smithville's iStorage was very accessible. The staff members working there were always very friendly and helpful, so I never had any problems or issues during the 3 or 4 years I stored there. I also liked that the facility was very clean. more

The unit we rented was clean and plenty large enough for our items. The truck rental went smoothly and the truck itself was large enough that we only had to make 1 trip to get our belongings to the unit. The price was reasonable and we are very satisfied so far. The staff is great. We're glad we chose iStorage @ Smithville. more

iStorage Smithville is just a good location. The people are easy to work with as well. They always have an answer when I have a question. I'm not left for wanting. It's been at least five years that I've been storing there. It's closer to my business and it's convenient: that's the main thing. There's easy access off the main road and the people are very pleasant and efficient. They have nice units also. more

We had three households combine into one, so we had a lot of extra stuff that we had to put in storage. We've been using a big double unit in iStorage Smithville for the past two years. We chose them because of their convenient location to our home and because of the value. All the facilities are clean, secure, and well lit. The staff is very personable and easy to deal with. Everything about my experience with iStorage Smithville was very good. I won a unit in an auction, so the unit itself was already dirty when I purchased it, but I found the security to be adequate. The staff was very courteous and professional. When I signed in at the front desk, they had everything all ready for me. They didn't have to fumble through any paperwork. This is a friendly place to rent from. They will meet all of your needs. I would recommend them. more

I'm very pleased with iStorage Smithville. First off, it's close by. I store an RV with them and they always accommodate me and are very helpful. I leave here in December and come back in June or July, so I store there July through December. I have no qualms about putting my RV there. I've been doing it for seven years. Right now it's a different company than when I first started, but it's still the same property. I'ts convenient since I live a mile away. more

Excellent customer service and availability more

I felt not like a customer, but like I was a part of the iStorage family. Julie bent over backwards to accommodate us. I'm 59 years old and I've never had to put anything in storage. I know that my belongings are well protected with iStorage. I had the best experience I could have ever had or asked for in a very trying time of my life. You would think that Julie owned the storage center; that's how hard she works. I've seen her with other customers and that's just how she is. They are very very fortunate to have her there. Another fellow there, Mike, is also extremely nice. To meet people who are so helpful and willing to do anything to make this part of your life so much easier for you is really special. I was really overwhelmed. I had lost my house and had several days to get my belongings out of the house. I was at a loss as to how I was going to get my belongings out. Julie told me they have a truck that you only have to pay $16 a day to use and that if I needed any help to just let her know. I found that the units were spotless and large enough to hold everything I needed them to. It was the best experience I've ever had. I was overwhelmed by Julie's graciousness. That woman is gold; don't ever let her go. I had never met her before, so she didn't know me from Adam. She has a load of storage units there to deal with, too. Without her I think I would have cracked up, I really do. God put that woman in our paths for a reason. I can't tell you i'm a religious person, but sometimes when things happen with special people it reaffirms your belief. I have my own business and people are in and out of here all day long. So I've had my share of meeting people. She's one of those people where if you can count on one hand how many of them you know, you can consider yourself a lucky person. She wasn't making any more money; she was just making what they pay her by the hour, but she went above and beyond. She made it really bearable and pleasant, actually. more
