Our family enjoys Asian food and my children (11 and 12 -- not babies) have been so eager to eat at Irori and experience the fun tables. We have tried to come before and the wait was too long. We arrived at about 6:00 on a Saturday night; the place was empty and yet they asked us to return in 30 minutes. When we did so, we waited another 15 and were treated poorly. Although my kids are extremely well behaved, we felt like we were being rushed in favor of other clients received poor service from the wait-staff (had to ask for wasabi for the sushi (!)). I don't know what the ""buzz"" is. The food seemed just OK...chicken teriyaki was fatty, salads had way too much dressing but the beef (steak) teriyaki was very tender and good, though pricy. We did like the sushi, but were disappointed that there was no low-sodium soy sauce. Also, as if to prove this point, the next morning we all woke with that salty feeling in our mouths and feel bloated. We will not return here; the service, treatment and food was a definite let-down.
Pros: Nice ambiance, fun tables, silk pillows
Cons: Waitresses and hostess are unfriendly
