Kelly and the Ironwood crew were night and day different than all those stories! They had a detailed weekly schedule, and budget, and were completely organized and on time. We had Ironwood Custom Builders work on the side of our house. They had the side of the house sealed off, tapered the windows, and redid the stucco. They did a great job of coordinating all of the people and getting it done. more

Overall it's been very good with Ironwood Custom Builders. Kelly has been very helpful and responsive to any issues that have arisen. He sends out subs to take care of it, who are quick to respond as well. We found out about Ironwood Custom Builders through a referral from a friend of ours. Kelly at Ironwood Custom Builders has so far remodeled a kitchen, bathroom, and entry area. They are just starting an addition. Ironwood Custom Builders starting working with us back in the spring, in April. Kelly at Ironwood Customer Builders is very good to work with, trustworthy, and very responsive to our needs! more

My experience with Ironwood exceeded my expectations! The quality of work was superb. We were constantly kept appraised of scheduled tasks, and the workmen showed up on time. The project was completed very quickly and as scheduled. In our weekly meetings we were notified as to the financial status of the project, which was extremely helpful for our budgeting. This was an extremely good experience. We had to gut the entire house and have it reconfigured, so we sat down with Kelly and discussed everything that needed done. We did a bid proposal, got started, and every week, either Monday or Wednesday, we would go over what was to be done and how much it would cost. We did a walk through every week and he actually made me an 8 1/2 x 11 binder with all the information. He did every single thing on the bid proposal as well as whatever changes we added after work began. And, they did a wonderful job. Kelly Anderson has been our very favorite general contractor we have ever worked with! He has alot of experience, is very patient when we wanted to change a few things, is always on time and sticks to deadlines. He said he would have our basement done in 7 weeks (Christmas was coming soon) and he stuck to that deadline. Kelly is very professional, has great ideas, does excellent work and is very fun to work with! Prompt & organized are usually not used in the same sentence to describe contractors, but this WAS the case!! I was given a 6 week deadline for my kitchen remodel & it was finished to the DAY!! It was so nice to actually have a contractor that would show up when he said, and actually be on time! If we had an 8:00 am meeting he would be waiting in my driveway at 7:55!! He scheduled weekly meetings-same day/time each week-and would hand us a scheduled printout for the next week, along with an itemization of expenses (credits, debits, etc.) which showed exactly what had been spent, and what the remaining balance was. Things moved so quickly, that sometimes they had to wait on ME to pick things out! This was such a different experience from the last contractor we used!!Aside from a few minor blips, everthing was smooth sailing! :) more

Kelly just completed a remodel/expansion at our home. He finished the job ahead of schedule and it was done with complete satisfaction and professionalism. We had heard so many horror stories of "contractors" but did not experience any negative actions. He took the time every week to explain what was happening for the current week and always asked if we had any questions. If there were any problems we would discuss and resolve right on the spot. Because of his experience, he was able to make several suggestions that we hadn't even thought of to make our home look even better. Kelly and his team are very accommodating. We lived in half of the home while it was being worked on. They worked on the home non stop even though we were there a lot and also worked around our 3 dogs. We are extremely happy with our home and the work that was done. more

Contrary to other peoples building experiences, ours proved to be free of any significant problems and we even had fun during the process. When minor issues arouse, Ironwood Custom Builders always went above and beyond in correcting these isssues and ensuring that we were happy with the end results. Even after a year had transpired since our home was constructed, Ironwood Custom Builders took it upon their self to fix some small issues that arouse. We feel so confident in the quality of their product that we continue to recomment them to our frinds and to clients from Lyndas interior design business. more

I had two main objectives critical to this remodel project. 1. Repair water damage where the main water line enters the basement. The end product turned out fine. I had wanted a hindged door installed in front of the water shut off valve but instead I got a clamp on panel that is a little hard to reinstall after it has been removed. 2. The contractor also assured me that an air duct could be modified to deliver air to the upstairs Living Room. Based on that assurance, I gave the remodel project to Ironwood. After the work started, I was told the airduct could not be modified as we agreed. This was very disappointing to me because it was a primary concern that I wanted completed as part of the contract. Other contractors that looked at the scope of work told me upfront that the duct could not be modified. They were eliminated because Ironwood could make the airduct modification. One other concern I had was with the drywall contractor employees. The were a group of young kids that were noise and "horsed around" They cause some minor damage to the door frame while carrying drywall doqwn the stairs. It appeared to me that they were trying to see who could get the drywall down the stairs the faster. Lastly, the drywallers were very messy. They did their work but never took the time to adjust dropcloths to keep the carpet clean. It was necessary to have the carpet shampooed. Aside from these issues, we are satisfied with the end result. We have also recommended Ironwood to a co-worker where my wife works. more
