I ate here on July 16th and it was awful.
After treking up 3 FLIGHTS of tenement stairs, you pass through the steamy, disorganized kitchen, only to go up ANOTHER FLIGHT of creaky stairs to the stale beer stinking roof deck.
We were served water in dirty glasses, and then a beer served in a dirty glass. (no beer list, just a sweet but clueless server trying to remember...)
Beer goes back, water goes untouched.
We get BURNT beef skewers, soggy fries (as if they were made yesterday and then stuck in the fridge and then microwaved), the fuii salad looked day-old and the cheese burger had a scorch mark on it. WE send back the salad, try to deal with the food, and then give up and ask to see the manager. (it's bad, over-priced and we're customers. Asking for the manager seemed perfectly appropriate.) The server is super nice and apologetic (Oh, the kitchen is backed up! - Sadly, it was 4pm and the place was empty.) She goes to this fat bald Jersey D-bag who listens to her and then waves her off. She comes back and offers to comp the fries. ""Is that the manager?"" I ask. 'No, that's the owner."", she says.
We paid full price, tipped 20% and promised never to return. Sorry, our reasonable concern wasn't worth the OWNERS time.
STAY AWAY.
Pros: It's close to Lighthorse Tavern
Cons: Dirty dining area, dirty glasses, bad food, rude manager
