Iorio's food is hands-down the best restaurant in portland that specialises in Italian cuisine. The menu has all the staples that you expect but with a creative bent that makes it truly special. New on the menu is a duck breast that is accompanied by a barley risotto, a touch that makes the dish unique and exemplifies the imaginative bent of the restaurant. The pizza there, large enough to split but light enought to share among friends as an appetizer if you're hungry, is exceptional and competes in flavor and texture with Pizzicato and Hot Lips and is far superior to the limp and flavor-challenged pies at Nostrana. The service was extremely friendly and all of the recommendations that were made proved excellent.
This resaurant really has what it takes, that special something that makes the difference from a place to get a good meal to a place to have a fantastic food experience. The best.
Pros: Great Italian food, original menu, friendly service and intimate but relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: cons? I can't think of any
