I wanted so much to love this restaurant. Gorgeous building, windows, wood floors. Could there really be good Italian on lower Hawthorne? Unfortunatly, the food was slightly above average, the staff was competant at best (aside from the owner who kindly shared stories about the history of the building and the creation of his business) and the decor fell short. I wanted a place to come back to but the search for a place for a romantic Italian dinner on the eastside will instead continue.
