I really enjoyed this facial. I usually don't like facials because, my skin breaks out and most times the people I go to have no idea that my skin is very sensitive. Paula was very warm and kind when we met. Paula looked at my skin and suggested something really gentle for my face. She new exactly what she was doing and she explained each thing she was doing on my face as she went along. i can't wait for my next Facial with Paula. It was amazing, my skin was so soft and no break out. Pros: Very informative about my skin. more

Indra Salon is definitely a must when it comes to hair. I've only been there a few times but it's always a pleasure. Recently, when I went in to get my hair cut and colored with Jen Traverso, the lead senior sylist, I was a nervous wreck! I've never done anything to my hair color wise and my hair is also very curly so its hard getting a cut that I like. Jen was super nice and made me feel so comfortable. Not only is she a genuinely nice person, she went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my hair and made me feel comfortable through the process. Well worth the price. I'm no stylist, but I walked out of that salon feeling confident, happy, and LOVING my hair :). Already booked my next appointment. \r more

My hair is unbelievably curly and out of control, so I usually can't wear it down. I went to Indra for the first time a few weeks back to get my hair cut, but I was a little nervous because I didn't know what to expect. When I first walked in, the warm and professional atmosphere blew me away and my haircut ended up being equally amazing. One of the stylists, Linsey, knew exactly how to handle my unruly hair. She cut it the perfect length and knew how to layer it. Before this haircut, I wore my hair up most of the time, but now I wear it down and it looks tame. Linsey also did my hair for a photo shoot and instead of straightening my hair, she embraced my curls. She made me look like a model all while defining a unique part of me. Leah did my makeup for the photo shoot. She matched my makeup perfectly to my clothes and made me look edgy. My makeup had bold colors, but she did not go over the top. The makeup she did looked like a high fashion model's. When she could not find a lipstick that suited the ""icy"" makeup theme, she improvised and created her own. I just got my hair cut and colored by Jess H. and it's honestly one of my favorite haircuts! She did a wonderful job with my hair and was so sweet! Indra was very welcoming and had a great atmosphere. It's definitely worth going to! Jess knew exactly what I wanted and really renewed my hair style. The stress reliever was great and the so was the whole experience! I can't wait to go back! Thank you Indra and especially Jess! more

I got my hair and make-up done at Indra for a photo shoot by Jen. The salon had such a great atmosphere and was very welcoming. Jen did a fabulous job and made sure every last strand of hair was in the appropriate place. She had an awesome personality and was very easy to talk to as well. If i had to describe her impecable techniques in one word i would use the word perfection. more

I went to Indra last week for my first hair experience with them, and was I impressed! Such a fabulous atmosphere, everyone was so kind and gracious, and the experience overall was amazing. Jose cut my hair and performed a Yuko straightening on it. As a person who always wears a ponytail, I caught my breath when he cut off my ponytail. But I am SO pleased with the resulting cut and straightening. So far, the comments I've received have ranged from 'sophisticated' to 'expensive looking cut' to 'takes years off you'. It has been very well received. I will definitely return to Indra again for more hair care. The entire experience was positive and I highly recommend them to anyone - even if you need to travel to get to them. I am just lucky I can walk there! more

I went into Indra Salon recently after hearing about it from a friend. I drove an hour to get there, but it was well worth it! The salon is absolutely beautiful. I was greeted by Phill who took me on a tour of the salon, pointing out the latest products on hand and telling me about the volunteer work the salon had been involved with, prior to bringing me over to Jose to go over my new haircut. If you want to be completely pampered from the second you walk in until the moment you leave, this is the place for you! You will receive complimentary neck/shoulder massages as well as hand massages while you wait. Jose cut my hair exactly how I asked him to (but even better than what I had pictured!). What he does with hair is nothing short of amazing, and he's a great person overall. It was hands down the best haircut I have ever gotten.\r \r The experience you will have at Indra Salon will make you leave there just wanting your hair to grow back fast, so you can go back and experience it all again! I've been going to Indra for the last few years for my hair. Amazing service and salon all around. It wasn't until this summer that I was told that I MUST go to Nichole for an eyebrow wax. I have to say she performs miracles and my whole face looks more symmetrical and better than I ever imagined. She is the best!!! Definately the only person I will allow to touch my eyebrows now! I have lived in the Northshore for several years, and as a New York ""Transplant"" I commuted to Boston for shopping and any specialized high end hair and spa services I needed. For years, I went to a talented hair stylist on Newbury street and a well known Newbury Day Spa for my skincare and spa services. I was pleasantly surprised when a friend recommended I visit Indra Salon and more specifically, see Nicole for brow shaping and placement of eyelash extensions. Upon meeting Nicole, I found her to be very knowledgeable and remarkably skilled in her trade. She immediately gave me her opinions as to what she thought would best suit my aesthetic needs, and I have to say, she was dead on with all her recommendations ( ie. skin care and which products to use, brow shaping, and type of eyelash extensions). I had written a few reviews for Indra, one favorable and one not so favorable...I'm so glad the owner, April, followed up with me. Firstly, my hair hasn't looked that great since I stopped going to Rebecca. Secondly, I missed Rebecca and the salon. Though I have never had anything but great things to say about my hair stylist, there was a misunderstanding regarding a price my friend was to receive. April more than made up for this, not only was she professional but she had the courage to call and ask ""how can we make things better?"" My friend was taken care of and I am back to seeing my favorite hairdresser. I am that person that you are afraid to go out to eat with becouse i will complaine over the slightest mistake and ask for a manager... \r Wich is why i was so saprized to have such an amazing first visit to this breath taking salon. As soon as i walked in the front door i was greated by smiling faces. A verry handsome young man named anthony introduced himself to me. He offerd to take my coat and offerd me a drink. Then he gave me a ""guest welcome folder"" that had a price list, buisness cards,Salon history and a staff photo.then anthony took me on a tour of the salon. Yes ladies a tour. Anthony told me about there product line AVEDA and introduced me to the owners who took the time to shake my hand and welcome me. \r Anthony showed me where my coat had been hung where there bathroom was located. He also explained what i could expect at the shampoo area a scalp massage, hand treatment and a steam towel. He also told me about there many spa services. Along the way almost every stylist said hello to me with a smile. I then sat in the waiting area to waite for my stylist. During my 2 min waite there had been fresh grapes, apples.cookies and crakers to snack on...\r My stylist amy took 20 min to talk to me about my new hair style. I whent there with the intentions to take of 5 inch's... she was so friendly and gave me the best hair cut i have ever had. i will defintly be sending all my friends to indra salon to see my new stylist Amy. I was so happy i booked my next 3 appts.. Also i would like to add. Almost every one at the salon said good bye to me and told me how good i looked on my way out..\r The customer service at indra salon was a ten. Everybody knows Jose is good at hair, he's the guru. With sophisticated, sleek, cutting edge techniques, his talens are comprehensive. Jose is truly an artist, as he is able to accomodate individual needs and styles, with his unique vision and impressive background. He is one of the only licensed hairstylists to do Yuko treatments, and does a fabulous job at it. Jose is not just good at what he does, he is a good person and always offers his generous spirit to clientelle. He is well known and well respected, and he really put a lot of great insight into Indra Salon. He leaves his mark wherever he goes, and really people do love him. I consider myself the 'gypsy of hair stylists' ...until last night. April, Anthony and the rest of the staff who assisted me were friendly, warm, professional and upbeat. I am the happiest I have ever been with my hair and I have made INDRA my salon! The complimentary Carribbean hand massage and neck/shoulder massage were a very pleasant surprise! What a WONDERFUL place to go! I am lucky enough to have an AMAZING stylist (I see Barbie) who is a master of cut, color, and up-dos!! As soon as I started goin to see her everyone I know was amazed at my fab hair. Now my mom, bf, and brother have all seen her. As well as 2 cousins who now go to the salon. \r \r You need to relax? You need to go to Indra. Glass of wine or a beer for the guys, coffee, water, hand massages, hot towels for men's faces... It's just an amazing place full of surprises. I went to the salon based on past reviews and could not be more pleased. I felt totally pampered during my time at the spa. Jose did an incredable job on my cut and color. He took the time to review what I wanted and his suggestions. He described as he was working on my hair the corrective program for that day and future visits to improve the condition and color of my hair. During my visit I was totally surprised with the complementary back massage and hand conditioning that I received. All employees greeted you and said hello. Apologies were made for even the slightest delays (which amounted to no more then maybe 5 or 10 minutes, totally acceptable). I decided to get hair extensions and since I have seen Rebecca in the past for hair cuts and color, I knew that she was the resident expert for hair extensions. I was nervous to get them, but Rebecca made me feel 100% comfortable and went over any and everything that I would encounter. After the consultation I was sold. About a week later, I had them put in and I could not be happier with the result. Prior to getting extensions, I had my hair cut to my head and was in the grueling process of growing it out. I've had so many people compliment my hair and I probably would have even more remarks, except most cannot even notice that I got them done! I was a bit worried after they were put in, so I called Rebecca at 12am! She made me feel assured and told me to call her anytime with any questions. She truly prides herself on her hair extensions ability and I totally admire that. I thought I try a new Aveda salon for a facial. I called to make an appointment and I asked If they do scalp massages with the facial, the receptionist said no, but they would give me a complimentary wash and style with a scalp massage to go with It. I thought It was too good to be true. It was great, the facial was relaxing and I did get a mini scalp massage with It, plus after they gave me a wash and style with another scalp massage to go with It.
