Trustworthy car repair 9/6/2012

I have been going to Independent Car Specialists for about 25 years. I actually considered whether or not they would service my car when I bought my last car, an Acura. I trust them, and they have never let me down. Plus, they are pleasant to work with! more

My son,wife and myself are thoroughly impressed with the honesty of past repair estimates vis a vis actual costs which we have found to be very reasonable. Also, we are impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the staff. more

We won't return 9/4/2012

My wife Donna Rogers and I brought in our Toyota Solara (Only 25000 miles on it)for just routine service. We were told it also needed a lot of other things to the tune of about 2500.00 Shortly after that I brought in another vehicle, my work van, for an estimate on something but could'nt get a straight answer or approximate cost. Instead they said they would keep it for a day or so, dismantle this or that, etc. That's when we realized that they wouldn't just do what was needed but they wanted to make a major repair out of it. Screw me once, shame on you- Screw me twice, shame on me! more

Overall good visit. 9/4/2012

Been using ICS for more years than I can remember and still have the original car that started the relationship. Have had a couple of other cars serviced and while going in for one thing I always seem to come out with several things. im not complaining because I am given the option to decline. The hardest part is there should be a discount offered for continued business or large jobs. I have received discount emails after just dropping several thousands of dollars to get my car caught up on service. I could have used the discount at the time of the service. I don't know how long the discount email is valid for nor do I know when the next service is going to be needed. The best thing and real reason we keep coming back to ICS is Tony Carbone. He is awesome. more

Outstanding.... 9/4/2012

I have been a customer for several years and have found them most professional. I have never had to question the work that needed to be done and have not been charged when faced with a small and quick fix. Recommend the highly. more

Very honest. They won't have you do unnecessary work. Prices are reasonable. Work is prompt and top-quality. Excellent service. We've been getting our cars serviced at Independent for over 15 years, and we'll gladly continue to do so. more

Excellent customer service. Full service repair and maintenance specializing in (but not limited to) Honda and Acura. Tony and his crew of technicians have a wealth of experience and a very thorough knowledge of the subtle details of the cars they work with. They have always 'bent over backwards' to help me with everything I've needed related to maintenance of my cars...even when I moved out-of-state, I could still call on the phone and 'pick their brain' about specifics, costs of parts, etc. The staff have never failed to deliver the highest quality of service, from the service desk to the shop. I whole-heartedly recommend Independent Car Specialists. more

Thanks Independent Car Specialist, for keeping my Honda in top mechanical condition and performance for the past 12 years and 250,000 miles from windshield wipers to tires. With your maintenance I plan to drive this Honda another 5 years and 100,000 miles or more. more

The shop is amazing. Tony, the owner, is the car whisper. He can look at your car and know exactly what the problem is. I have had friends bring him their car and they get the same treatment...HONEST AND ACCURATE. Two characteristics not seen in the car repair business. more

Great service, total professionalism, honest! 8/31/2012

Our brakes went out. We took our truck into ICS and they looked it over thoroughly, determined we needed a new booster and new brakes and solenoid. We can't afford to get the repairs done, and decided to sell the truck for salvage, having no further work done on the truck by ICS. After all they did and the time that was spent locating a second-hand booster that was much less expensive than a new one, they charged us absolutely NOTHING! We will become regular customers and shall shout recommendations for ICS, they've made us believers. more

Honda 83 8/31/2012

The mechanic cleaned my carborator. But the car kept dying when I stop. I had to come back twice for them to adjust it but it never ran smoothly, so I went to another company who solve the problem. For the service I felt they were too high priced. more

Happy with Independent Car Specialists 8/31/2012

I have been pretty happy with Independent Car Specialists. I feel like they always deal honestly with me and they fix the things that they say they are going to fix. Of course, like any business, they are going to want to suggest other service or upsell, but they don't do it in a way that makes me feel coerced. I always feel like they're just suggesting other things or services of which I can take advantage. Another thing that I like is that they know that I can't afford a lot of stuff for my car so they always suggest the bare minimum that I can do to keep my car running. That is appreciated. There have only been one or two occasions where I didn't feel that the work was up to the usual standards, but those two experiences were outliers and my experience with them has been very favorable. more

very pleased with this being my second visit. this time had to diagnose and repair misfire problem. old car needs a lot of work on our limited budget. recommeded priorities and carefully exlained what can occur. HONESTY AND INTEGRITY, real people that care as if they are in your family. more

PEOPLE YOU CAN TRUST 8/28/2012

We have been with Independent Car Specialist for a very long time and will continue to be their customer. The reasons we continue to see them is their honesty, the knowledge they have with cars and the very skilled mechanics. We brought one of our cars to one auto repair shop and no one could figure out what the problem was but when Tony looked at it, he figured it out just like that. We were very impressed and that's how come we are still with him. We have a friend who brought her car to the dealers many times and still the problem was not resolved. When she took her car in to Tony, it came out all fixed with no other problems. more
