The margaritas are wonderful too, but come early if you and your friends want to get a seat in the dining room. Tables go quickly each week at taco night.

I didn't think the service was that great, but every place has its good and bad days.

FREE TACOS Thursdays! BEST margs on Moody! 7/26/2007

My friends go here every Thursday and love it. So this past Thurs I went along. I had the best margarita I've ever had(and I've tried quite a few margs in my day!). There was a free taco buffet from 10 on! The tacos were great! I'm hooked. Will def be there every Thurs night!! going back today to sit on patio and then have free tacos!! Pros: Free Tacos, Great Bartenders more

My friends go here every Thursday and love it. So this past Thurs I went along. I had the best margarita I've ever had(and I've tried quite a few margs in my day!). Best Margaritas in Waltham!! Patio a plus! 6/23/2007

Don't believe these other reviews! My friend and I were there the other night and we had a wonderful experience! The margaritas and all the drinks we had were awsome! The food was much tastier, freasher and better then the compition. My friend and I are both in the biz so we expect good service and we got GREAT service. From the Hostess to the bartenders to our waitress, everyone was upbeat and friendly. Check out the patio! We had a blast and def would recomend! more

I used to come to this place for their margs, but I won't be coming back. I've gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe I had just gone there on an off night a couple months ago, but went for lunch recently and this place doesn't have anything going for it anymore. The food and service are decidedly second rate, why come here when there are significantly better mex/tex-mex/bbq joints within a chip shot. Pros: decent margs, outdoor dining, proximity to better restaurants Cons: food and service are pretty lousy more

Worst on Moody 4/25/2007

I felt compelled to write a review to combat all of the other glowing ones: really, folks, this place is bad. Fairly tasteless food, utterly tasteless decor, and the margarita that I had was one of the weakest drinks I've had out in years. The service was alright, and there was nothing horrific about the food, but that's the best that I can say about the place. It was the worst meal I've ever had on Moody St. more

Tasty Vacation Cuisine, Friendly service, Fun and Upbeat atmosphere, Fab Margs!! 3/10/2007

A group of my friends and I went to this fun spot last week and had a blast! The bartenders were super friendly and very attentive and the drinks were amazing(try the award winning Horny Lizard Marg!!). My friends and I love Mexican food and the menu was very diverse. The waitress told us that the menu was ""vacation cuisine"", meaning food with influences from the Carribean, South America and Mexico. We loved the Fajitas and Quesidillas. Carribean Chicken sandwich was awsome! On Tuesdays they have 2 for 1 fajitas! We are definately going back!! We also can't wait to spring so we can relax in the sun on their patio! This is my first review, hope it's helpful!! Pros: Awsome service and drinks! Cons: after work parking more

we passed tons of authentic places on the way to iguana cantina...we should have stopped there instead. the food has no flavor, and the queso fundido tastes like cheese whiz. Pros: nice decor Cons: bad food more

Great restaurant 7/6/2006

My family and I go to this place all the time, this place is great for the kids and for the adults as well (good service, great margaritas & fun outdoor dining). I would reccomend this place to anyone for any occassion. more

As a frequent mexican restaurant goer, I have to say that this little Cantina in Waltham is a haven for tasty margs and creative mexican/caribbean dishes. The margaritas are fun, creative and do the trick as they are made with a secret blend of their house sour mix. (I asked for the recipe, it was a bust. Although you can buy it by the gallon!) \r \r Though this place is small, the atmosphere is fun and comfortable. I recently spent an afternoon on their outdoor patio with friends tasting their wide assortment of creative appetizers and interesting cocktails from their 6 page drink menu. Whether it be dinner or drinks, Iguana Cantina has made it's way to the top of my list!!! Pros: outdoor seating, delicious margaritas Cons: parking can be annoying on Moody St. more
