I came to the salon becuz my friend's hair always looks so shiny and pretty. She told me about Nancy so I booked an appoinment for a haircut and they got me in right away. The shampoo given by Oscar....was....WOW!And Nancy did the best haircut I've ever had. Seriously. I had people complementing my hair all day! (that never happens) On top of that, I had Jasmine do my brows and they rock! I will be back....soon Pros: never loved my hair so much Cons: i can't come everyday more

Just a quick note to share with you my experience with ICON. I have been a friend and client of Shelly Fisher for years now and whenever I am looking for a new look she knows exactly what I need. I was wearing my hair long for years now and three weeks ago, I did it! I went for it and got a totally new look. Shelly used only a razor to cut my adorable shaggy pixie cut and I can't even tell you how many friends and strangers have absolutely flipped over the style. SHE IS THE BEST! A friend of mine recommended the place so I made an appointment. I was 10 minutes late and they made me wait 30-45 minutes. Everybody was nice, they offered me coffee or water (by the way I cannot believe somebody complained about them not serving cappuccino but flavored coffee:) After I finally got in the chair I had to wait another 10 minutes. I was there to get highlights. When I called I asked them about their prices. The girl said highlight prices start $85 plus the cut. Guess how much I ended up paying at the end? Over $200. I am a new client to Icon Salon, and I had a wonderful experience from the front desk to the great shampoo and the best haircut and hair treatment I have ever received! I highly recommend this salon to anyone with a like for being pampered in a calm and soothing environment. Just as I thought I was done and loving the way my new look turned out, Chiara introduced me to Jasmine, who reshaped and changed the look of my brows, which changed my whole face! I couldn't be happier with them both. Not to mention the service. Icon is a must. Pros: Great service, personal attention, ambience Cons: parking, although the feed your meter. I live a very busy lifestyle I am an executive producer, a mother and a wife so finding a great hair dresser had to be put on the bottom of the list. I use to change people all the time and go to whatever salon was most convenient to the location I was shooting. Until I met my stylist Melinda, she does the best color and cuts, she changed my life, I can't ever go to anyone else. She is amazing, SERIOUSLY! She also has a great personality and its really a pleasure being in the chair. Plus the salon has great costumer care, always offering various water and coffee flavors. Pros: Everyone is always nice, Melinda really cares about you being happy, the salon is nice. Cons: Parking is not always great but if you park in a metered spot the salon will pay. more

First off, let me say I am a MAN. I do not like to use hair product, I don't blow-dry, I want to get out of the shower and GO, and look good. I also happen to have very thick, VERY CURLY hair that I grew up tortured by as I couldn't ever do a damned thing with it, and always ended up cutting it very short and gelling it (with the resultant forehead acne) or growing it out and looking like Robert Plant (not a bad look, but try getting a job, renting a home, etc.). And then I found Abdon at ICON. I have been having him cut my hair exclusively for the past 4 years, and he is truly a master. He knows just what to do to thin and shape my hair so that by just letting it air-dry, it now looks ""naturally"" awesome, very manageable and requires ZERO styling. It's medium-length, and hangs perfectly without being bushy or out of control. Abdon is the MAN! Pros: Skilled staff, lovely atmosphere...you definitely feel taken care of Cons: Very busy, though they will do a lot to accommodate last-minute appointments more

This salon is great! I have Nancy do my hair and Jasmine does my eyebrows. I would call these two the dynamic duo. They are great. Nancy cuts my hair to perfection. I have had long hair with layers and then chopped it off with the cutest short cut. Nancy knows exactly how to execute anything you want. Now for Jasmine. I have never had my brows look as fantastic. Trying a new salon and stylist can be a frightening experience...doesn't everyone have a devastating ""hair-or"" story that ended in tears...that's still only mildly funny today? I know I do! My close and trusted friend is a client of ICON, and has been relentlessly nagging at me to just give them a try because my hair ""looks sad and has looked the same way forever"". Her hair DOES look amazing, and I have tried their shampoo at her house and it made my hair feel better. To get her off my back, I surrendered and let her book an appointment for me. I have really curly damaged hair, and was told to go to ICON by one of my girlfriends...I LOVED IT! Everyone there was so nice and professional. Chiara cut my hair beautifully, and one of the girls did a treatment on it. My hair is starting to really look great. I recommend ICON to everyone! They fed my meter for me, offered me drinks, (the spa water is amazing) and they really made sure they took care of me. I also got my eyebrows done by jasmine while I was in there, she was able to fit me in while I was getting my hair done. I have never received so many complements on how great they look. Wow! I love this salon! What a find. Chiara is amazing, a real pro! She transformed my dull, damaged, lifeless hair, into a new healthy, ""with it"" do in just the first appointment. My hair actually moves now! Thank you Chiara for teaching me what to do (and not to do) to keep my hair this way. I look and feel like a new person. more

I had my girlfriend go there for a hair extension repair/replacement for the New Year and found the salon to have many problems. First, the stated price was way too high and finally after her talking to the Icon Desk, it was reduced to $40.00, the fair price for a short one piece insertion weave fee (the hair was already purchased elsewhere and not part of the fee). After the fee was negotiated and the price was clear at $40.00, the appointment was made and set. Pros: Nice interiors Cons: Not up to par more

I moved from NJ to LA this summer and I was looking for a great haircut and a new style. My stylist from NJ recommended ICON so I looked it up on citysearch and made an appointment with Nancy. The haircut I received was all I could ever want and more. Using my guidelines she used her own sense of style to create undoubtedly the best haircut I have ever had. Since then I went back for a return visit and received an even better haircut the second time! (I didn't think better than best was possible, but I was proved wrong). Beyond the haircut, she was incredibly nice, took extra special care and attention to every detail of the cut, and spent extra time to show me how she styled my hair so I could reproduce it myself between haircuts. Beyond the haircut, the staff was extremely nice, the atmosphere was great, and the head massage you get with your hair wash is always amazing! All in all the experience was unlike anything ever before and I know I have found my permanent place to get my haircut. Pros: Everything more

I came to ICON after reading reviews on this site. I called and they got me in right away with Nancy. I was looking for someone really good to do a bob on me and didn't want to go just anywhere. When I came in, I immediately loved the salon. It has such a cool atmosphere and everyone was really friendly. I showed Nancy a picture of the cut I wanted and we talked about it. I got an AMAZING haircut. Nancy did exactly what I wanted! I also got my brows done with Jasmine, and like the other reviews on here said, she is great. I felt so good leaving the salon. The best compliment is that people keep asking me where I get my haircut! I've found my new salon! more

I have had both great and bad experiences here. Chiara is the best. Honestly, she's tried to fix the mess ups by Melinda. She's also the most amazing hair stylist ever. But I went to Melinda to do my color and for some reason, after 4 times, she could never get it right. I've been having my color done for years and never had someone who coudn't get the roots and the rest of my hair the same (or even close to the same) color. She tried to blame it on my hair but that's highly unbelievable, I think she just couldn't mix the color correctly. She's never that interested in me and leaves it all to the wonderful assistants. And that I could deal with if she could only do what I could do with bottle of dye from the store, and get an even color. So I HIGHLY recommend Chiara but please be careful with Melinda for color. I have been going to Shelly at Icon for about a year and a half. Not only is she the most talented stylist, she always makes me feel like I'm very important by listening to my questions about my hair and always answering with creative ideas and suggestions. I love that she always knows the ""latest ""looks in hair and fashion and is always excited to fill me in and make me look great!! I was excited to learn about city search so that I could let everyone know that if they want a stylist who is amazing with color( I get a 3 color weave) and realy listens to what you say and is not afraid to give you her professional opinon and finishes with a custom cut that is always modern and fun.... then you HAVE to go to Shelly. I also want to mention that I love love love the whole staff at Icon they are so friendly and always remember your name its nice to be remembered, I always look forward to my next appointment . I also could never live without my Icon products!!! They ROCK!!! One last comment.. I love not having to go into the city, and if I had to give a little advice I would say arrive early parking is a little difficult especially on Fri. and Sat., but the staff does feed the meters once you are inside and tell them where you are parked. Rigo is amazing with color and cutting! I was a hairstylist for 24 years and I don' t trust many people to care for my hair. Since I can't cut it myself, I was relieved when I met him at a hair show he was teaching. I am so glad that I finally found someone that understands my hair! I have been going to this hip salon for almost three years now and I absolutely love his work! In fact, all my friends go to him now too. He has a great eye for detail and that is something you don't see often in this industry anymore! As a former stylist and a client, I think Rigo rocks and ICON is the best! more
