My daughter and I stopped by one morning and as we were the only ones there proceeded to ask for 1 donut, which she seemed rushed to get us to make up our minds.\r After my daughter decided which one she wanted we gavethe owner the order and she told me it was $ 1.60 then gave her a 20 dollar bill and she looked at me and said ""do you have anything smaller"" i said sorry but i didnt,she told me ""sorry then I cant sell it to you""\r Believe me I was so shocked I didnt know what to say, honestly if this was my buisness,I would have given the little girl the donut free of charge!!!\r WHAT A BRAT!! My wife ordered a cake over a month before my son's birthday. 3 days before the birthday party... we get a call from ""Icing on the Cake"" informing us that they didn't have any of the material we requested for the cake and that it would take three weeks to get the supplies. They purposly waited until they thought we would have no choice other than to have them do the cake anyway before they told us!!! I complained to the owner, but she didn't care either. My kids and I have been patronizing Icing On The Cake long before it was named so, back when it was Big ""D""'s Donuts. Last Saturday, I brought my son in to get some donuts and was treated extremely rudely by the owner. So I bought our donuts, and we went home. My son asked on the way home why the lady was so grouchy...I stopped by afterwards to see if I had offended her and was greeted by such hostility, even from the owner's son who came out to posture behind the counter. Customer service is just not what it should be anymore. I'm not surprised to read other bad reviews.\r \r I will not be coming back to this establishment, and would rather drive to Cool Springs' Dunkin' Donuts than spend another dime with these people. Maybe business is down and the stress is up? Who cares when there are other choices out there. Her son should sit back and enjoy his royalties from starring in ""Deliverance"". I was really suprised to see this place had a bad review! My husband and I LOVE these cakes! In fact, I crave them between celebrations. Never had a bad experience, and you won't find a better cake in Franklin. Also, tried a doughnut when I picked up a cake and they are awesome too. I am getting married in the next year and I have helped planned a lot of weddings in the greater nashville area. This place was just plain flat out rude. We walked in just looking around,its a bakery as well, so no appointment ness. The person who does all the cakes, stood in front of us on the phone for a good 15 min. talking about her easter plans to a obvious family friend. So after waiting until she saw fit to get off the phone, we ask if she does wedding cakes because we didn't see any in the display book. She then informs us that she does wedding cakes consultations STRICTLY by appointment only (which is not uncommon in the wedding world) so we weren't surprised. Then we where also informed that her cakes were fairly exspensive and she was very busy. Then without a word she went into the back to finish her conversation. I would like to point out I have worked in costumer service for about 6 years, i'm not the best and try to give people some slack, knowing how it feels, but there was no reason to treat my mother and I the way she did. Even if she gave it to me for FREE i wouldn't take it. Hope shes not always like that!\r more
