Hyde

The chef Brian's Cinqo de Mayo inspired 5 course menu paired with 5 offerings from Blue Hills Brewery is amazing. We met Andris the brewmaster from Blue Hills Brewery and had an in depth tour of the ingredients and brewing methods. Right now I am enjoying the chocolate mole cheesecake with strawberry salso with the wompatuck watermelon wheat beer nicely suited as a dessert beverage. I've found several Blue Hills Brewery offerings I like a lot - Black Hops and Antimatter and the IPA was also robust and full bodied. I usually prefer dark beers or ale but was very impressed with the Blue Hills Brewery selections. $55 for 5 courses and 5 10 oz local brews was a bargain given the quality of the food and expert pairings with Blue Hills Brewery's offerings. I can't wait for the Luau chef Brian has planned in July with a different local brewery. more

In the home of the old Dottie's, the Hyde Restaurant adds to the growing dining scene of Cleary Square in Hyde Park. Opened on Feb. 2nd, The Hyde and it's Chef/Owner Brian Roskow, aims to offer it's customers a fresh and upscale diner environment. Replete with a menu of artisanal beers and local ingredients, Brian is a classically trained Chef that has spent the last 27 years cooking up and down the East Coast. Back in Boston, he is proud to be back in his hometown and offering great food at reasonable prices. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with brunch on weekends, the Hyde is currently a cash only business. more

The Hyde is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. With a creative and colorful menu and local ingredients, I am so happy to have something like this in Cleary Square now! more
