I've lived here since early spring and have had little to no issues, as have many of the neighbors ive talked to. When looking at reviews for local properties it seems like people find any little thing to complain about, go live at the trump plaza or new construction apartments paying $1700 for a 2 bedroom. these are affordable, comfortable options for students and families. find a property that includes heat if ur gonna complain about electric heat costs, it all costs money hello! I was here during the hurricain and considering i was told they had over 2 dozen units flooded, not to mention all the other stuff i assume they have to do i thought they were rather speedy. its an inconvenience yes but it happens. its called MOTHER NATURE, kinda out of evetyones hands. theyre apartments, expect noise! things are going to go wrong, theyre old units, but maintenance is respectful and actually does the right job the first time. I recommend this place, its a shame ppl who are happy with it dont post and its only the ppl who are constantly negative that have everything to say. more

dont come here 9/19/2011

I am living here and so far i have had two floods, and the ceiling leak. While the first of the floods was a hurricane and it happens I wasnt that upset. Until the day I was supposed to get my carpet fixed it happened again! the ceiling has been leaking and no matter how many calls to maintenance the problem is still happening. its been about a month since the hurricane and I am still waiting for maintenance to steam clean( which i have been promised that it will happen the next day about 3 times). so needless to say i have mold problems and am unhappy with the staff. more

For the Love of God Don't move here ! 8/30/2011

where to begin... paper thin walls , termites , mold , flooding- noisey neighbors - management has keys to the apartments and enter when ever they think you are not home. everything is electric so your central hudson bill is over the top - maint team is rude and do not know what they are doing- between river mngmnt , hyde park greens and millio realty they are all against the tenents will raise rent and you get nothing in return - crappy looking - IF you think you want to move here ...think again - the romance wears off very quickly - more

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/23/2011

This place is miserbale to live at. I originally moved here when I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America and it was a quick and convienent place to move into. At first glance this seems to be an ideal place, cheap, inexpensive, immenities, spacious rooms but it just is not worth it. Once you get settled in all the flaws come into place. The rooms have a lingering smell, the mold is unbearable, and the work there is shotty. In my time there I went for 5 days in the middle of winter with no heat, claimed I never paid my rent and was handed late notices on the regular when I never missed one payment, had my car broken into right outside my door, and so on. Overall I hate living here but it is the only convienent place while being at school. Please save your money and find a more respectable place. more

Do Not Waste Your Time or $$$ 4/15/2011

This is a crappy place to live. Definately NOT suitable for a family!!! I'll start by saying that the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything your neighbors say and do. Quiet hours start at 9pm so God forbid you get home later than that your neighbor will have the right to put in a complaint against you for violating quiet hours. If you have dogs, forget about living here. The whole place is infested with fleas! If you have children, please, please, please do not move here. This is not a kid friendly complex at all. Children are not allowed to ride their bikes, rollerblades or scooters on the complex. there is nowhere for them to play. The pool is not and will not be open. The tennis courts are nothing more than a fenced in piece of black top. This is the only place children are allowed to ride their bicycles (sort of like caged monkeys). If you plan on living here during the winter i hope for your sake you dont own a car. Snow removal here is a joke, the worst most uncoordinated company ever. They make you move your cars off site during snowstorms. Really? Where do they suggest you park? Then they bring the plows in whenever they feel like it and start honking for you to get up and move your vehicles. River Management will call with a very rude automated message telling you to move now or be towed. The tow truck follow the plows around the complex. Again, I highly suggest looking elsewhere to rent, this place is a dump!!! more

Great Apartments for students and young professionals 10/22/2008

I looked at all the properties in Hyde Park and this was the nicest one. The office staff is helpful, the maintenance staff is always prompt and professional and I like living here ! Pros: Close to CIA, Rhinebeck & Poughkeepsie Cons: electric heat more

Not bad if you are only interested in short term housing 8/21/2008

Beautiful property, but the apartments are cheaply appointed. Units are no longer even provided with air conditioning. This is a very transient community. A large portion of the tenants are students from the CIA and therefore often leave after one lease. The one bedroom apartments are fairly spacious and suitable for a couple. The two bedroom units are cramped, because the square footage of these are not much larger than the one bedroom units. This is very evident in the kitchen space which is approximately three feet shorter in length than that of the one bedroom kitchen unit. This is not a great living experience for professionals due to frustrations of living in a student environment. Many leave as soon as more suitable housing can be found. One of the biggest drawback to these units is they are poorly insulated when it comes to noise. The buildings are constructed more like a private home. This means that you hear your neighbors above you and even below you. Staff is generally friendly, but here again there is turnover. Emergency repairs are often handled quickly, but general maintenance is below average due to lack of proper materials, equipment and overall skill. On the positive side, pets are allowed. Pros: Convenient location, Accepts Pets, Cons: Cheeply appointed, Can be noisy at night, Weak services more

Clean, quiet, nice customer service. 4/28/2008

I have lived in many apartment complexes before but the Hyde Park Greens was the best so far. Pros: Clean, professional maintanance crew. Cons: I wish they redid more of their apartments. more
