Perfect Day 4/25/2003

Despite the traffic going to Lake Austin, the drive was very beautiful coming from downtown Austin-green and hilly. It set the mood for the intimate setting at Hudson's. The gardens were not yet in bloom but the colorful paintings inside made up for it. The food was excellent!!!! Venison is a must, they serve it 3 different ways. Do not be afraid of the complicated sauces that accompany the dishes, they complement the meat. And definately try the chocolate creme brulee if they offer it. more

Great food, lousy service. 10/28/2002

The food here was excellent. I recommend the salmon and goat cheese quesadillas as an app. Service was awful!!!!!!! The waiter was rude and unattentive. Our wine was spilled numerous times on the tablecloth without an apology. I would suggest this restaurant to friends but I hope they don't have the same waiter. more

Holy cow!!! Taste this!!! 9/15/2002

Hudson's is amazing! Everything I tasted had wonderful flavor and texture. The service was attentive without being bothersome. I would highly recommend the trout, and the beef tenderloin with lobster was cooked to perfection. Every item on the plate was wonderful, not just the entree. I would urge anyone looking for an outstanding place to dine to visit Hudson's on the Bend. more

one of my favorites 8/20/2002

hudsons is one of my favorites in austin and i have a fabulous experience each time i visit this top-rated spot. the asparagus appetizer is mouth-watering. the wine list is extensive and not overpriced. the pork tenderloin is terrific. i have had attentive service at each visit and reccommend this restaraunt without hesitation! enjoy!
