Despite the traffic going to Lake Austin, the drive was very beautiful coming from downtown Austin-green and hilly. It set the mood for the intimate setting at Hudson's. The gardens were not yet in bloom but the colorful paintings inside made up for it.
The food was excellent!!!! Venison is a must, they serve it 3 different ways. Do not be afraid of the complicated sauces that accompany the dishes, they complement the meat. And definately try the chocolate creme brulee if they offer it.
