I had a good experience both times i've been there. The staff were ever so courteous and Dr Hoefer was very pleasant. Would recommend a thousand times over. Pros: Very nice staff & doctors Cons: Slight wait but not longer than 15 minutes more

I have recommended this facility to others, and would again! My best friend and her family see Dr. Shepherd, and I have several previous co-workers who utilize this facility and the doctors that work there. I've never seen Dr. Shepherd, but saw Hoefler my first couple of visits, have seen the nurse practitioner, but have kind of stuck with Dr. Ermac. He takes time to listen, understand my needs, and shows compassion. As for the staff, I only know of one that seemed to be stand-offish, all others are quite friendly. I don't know exactly how long, but think I've been going to this facility for over 5 years. As long as I have an appointment, I rarely have to wait more than 10-15 minutes to get in to the exam room, and usually only 5-10 more to see the doctor - that's at the most! I don't understand anyone who gives this place a bad rating; as in any experience, if you remember to treat others as you wish to be treated, you'll get better results. I have been a patient of Dr. Ermac for nearly 3 years and he is wonderful. I might wait 30 mins. to see him but it is well worth it. He is very compationate and really listens to you. I can not speak for the other doctors at HSE but DR. Ermac is GREAT!!! more

My first visit to this clinic was positive. From that point, it's been downhill. I never know what to expect. Sometimes the doctor deals with me in a positive professional manner. At other times he's rude and unprofessional. For example, in two years he has never completed what I would consider a comprehensive examination, yet he signed off on papers that he had. I'm pretty sure the insurance company will be billed for a full physical exam. My concern folks, is that people will go to HSE suffering with some serious malady only for it to be overlooked because Dr. Hoefer does a cursory exam, at best, and a negligent one, at worst. Pros: takes patients without insurance, handsout medication samples, free parking, brief wait time Cons: increasing difficulty to get call backs regarding refills and labs; sometimes rude staff, assembly line medicine, and inconsistent/inadequate medical care more

I have been to this clinic several times now only seeing one doctor was probably my biggest mistake. I wish I would have had a chance to see Dr. Hoeffer - I have heard really good things about him. It's truly unfortunately that he has to work with such an incompetent staff and doctor. I am writing this review because I feel it necessary to tell my experiences from this facility. Every time I have made an appointment I have to wait at least two hours even to be seen and once you?re in visiting with the doctor, he makes you feel unimportant. You feel as though you are rushed constantly and that you have no time for questions or concerns about your pain. There has been numerous times I have called to get answers for testing/ results or questioning prescriptions and it takes two or three phone calls to get a response, if any at all!! There is total confusing in the office and what topped it off for me was that this particular Doctor was in such a hurry to get me out the door that he wrote down the wrong dosage for my prescription and Walgreens filled it. Thank goodness it wasn?t a serious medication that would have been detrimental to my health, but this is a big deal for me.. What if it was for my 3 yr. son instead???? I am a somewhat new patient, but have been to see him a couple of times already. I have been searching and searching for a doctor that will actually LISTEN to me, HEAR my complaints and give me ACTIVE feedback regarding my issues. He sat with me for over a half hour letting me explain the problems I was having from pain to anxiety. He offered me advice, guidance and seemed to genuinly care about my needs. I also did not experience the long wait that some of these reviews talk about. I was in the lobby area for less than 5 minutes each time I have gone. And I only waited in the exam room for that amount of time before the DOCTOR (not the nurse or med assistant) came in and saw me. I am very pleased with this clinic and would recommend it to anyone looking for a doctor that actually cares. more

She is a liar and a conartist. None of the staff appreciate her. She will do anything to make herself shine. Cons: Lies more

She does not deal with staff confrontations with patients, which causes doctor to listen only to staff interpretations of disputes causing unnecessary negativity of doctor / patient relationships. As result of not being a good office manager it has caused negative against the whole doctors office! Cons: always in office with door shut, do not control front office. more

I am pleased to have Dr. Hoefer as my GP. The wait is never long, although the waiting room can be full at times. I appreciate his great service and care. more
