Howell's Furniture Galleries is the best furniture store in southeast Texas. There is a huge selection to choose from, and a great friendly staff. Some people just have to complain about something. They weren't the only ones affected by the hurricane... including myself, and Howell's. It was a brand new store right before the hurricane, and it got messed up pretty bad. They had mold just like everyone else. They had their own problems to deal with, than to worry about someone who was getting furniture that their insurance was paying for from the hurricane when I'm sure their own furniture wasn't near as nice. There is always someone who is going to want more than the extra they're already getting. Who care that you had to sleep on the floor? Many people had to sleep on the floor and aren't complaining. Think about all of the people who don't even have a house with a floor, because the hurricane took theirs away. No one cares about your little problems, so why don't you stop trying to make others suffer for your loss, just because you had a bad experience or a bad day. Thanks. I recently went to buy a bedroom suite at Howell's because our house was totaled after hurricane Rita. We paid for it full, and had them hold it until we moved in a new house. The day after we moved in (day before they were supposed to ship it), the night before Thanksgiving, someone called to tell us the bed they were going to ship was molded!! They have been rude, incompassionate, and completely incompetent. I highly recommend that no one ever do business with these people. They gave us NO discount, in store credit or anything for our troubles. me and my husband (who just came back from Iraq and was wounded) had to sleep on the floor. We still have not received our bed over a month later. It will be another month before they can ship it to us. Please do not do business with these idiots!!!
