This place is awful! Don't go here. Okay, so I'm lying. They're great. Unreproachably honest, fair, talented, dependable mechanics, and the owner's okay too. I personally will not take my vehicles anywhere else in Williamsburg. Chrysler can ship the parts to Howard's, I'll wait an extra day. It's just that lately it's been kind of hard to get in the door, ya know? So if you're one of them people spoutin off at the mouth how good they are, STOP TELLIN' PEOPLE ALREADY! okay. I have been taking my cars to Jeff and the other fellows at Howard Motor for years. On one occasion I told Red, one of the mechanics, I thought my transmission was gone, he called to tell me I just needed something tightened, three years later the transmission is still fine. How many mechanics do you know that would do that. They are in my opinion the best in auto repair around and they are honest too, a rare commodity these days. Thank God for Howard Motors! more

This is the kind of place everybody wants to find: friendly, reliable mechanics that actually care about their customers. Aside from doing great work, another thing that is really important to me, is that my mechanics are not doing unnecessary "repairs". On more than one occasion, I went in to Howards because I thought some maintenance needed to be done, and I've had them take a look at my car and actually turn me away because the work didn't really need to be done yet. "Come back in another 10,000 and it will be time." They sell tires at Howards also, so I was really surprised when I got the same treatment when I thought I needed a new set of tires. I was assured the tires were safe for another 6 months. After another 6months (to a year) of use on that pair, I did go back to them for new tires.
