Gayle M.\r I contacted Houston Fence Co back in Nov 2016 for an estimate for a privacy fence across the back of my yard. I woman came in place of Chris Taggart (salesman). She provided me a contract quote for 6' PTP, dogeared, fence signed by Chris. I made several contacts since then to schedule an installation date; however, I was told they were working a very big job and would get to me soon. I called again 7 Feb and was told installation should be within the next week. Again I called on 21 Feb to see when the fence would be installed and Chris spoke to me stating that the quote he provided was for a chain link fence rather than a privacy fence--a chain link fence already existed. I said thank you and hung up. I pulled the contract and called back; however, Chris had left for another job. I told the individual on the phone that the contract stated twice that it was a 6' privacy fence and that Chris signed the contract and why were they not honoring the quote. She stated that they just could not install a privacy fence at that cost. People do make mistakes but you should work with your customer to make it right if you want to remain a reputable business. This was bad business. more

The best quality at the best price. Second time I've used Houston Fence Company and they never disappoint! My current project was extremely difficult as it was a perimeter lot that required bulkheading repair at the rear fence. The previous fence wasn't done properly, but Houston Fence did the extra effort to dig the trench needed to get the fence installed evenly on an uneven slope. Communication was terrific, I knew when they were coming to scope out the work as well as come and perform the job. I wish all trades were as courteous and professional as this company! more

Best quality at the best price. Second time I have used this company and I'm pleased with the results on both occasions. The current job was a difficult one as it entailed installation of a perimeter lot on an uneven slope extending a couple hundred feet in length. The bulkhead installation was painstakingly dug and placed such that the fence line is even at the top. Awesome! Communication was detailed: I was informed when the crew captain was coming to scope the work, as well as when they would be there to perform the work. My salesperson, Greg, assisted when there was a question regarding the features of the rear fence (it was supposed to have a cap on top, but initially the installer didn't have that in his instructions). Everyone from top to bottom was courteous, friendly, and very professional. Thanks Houston Fence!! more

These people are TERRIBLE! Don't get RAMON for your salesperson. He is a snake. Tries to sneak stuff under your nose at 7pm and say its a rush. I NEVER got an install date! They just showed up. Their work is good only because they contract that part out. Didn't they tell you? Yes, they do! They are just a "fence" company for billing and ripping you off. I changed my mind on the staining and they told me I had to buy the stain from them because "they couldn't put it back"! Can you believe it? I was astounded, honestly. I went with them because our HOA uses them. NOW I know why our HOA uses them....lowest bidder more
