Sexy 12/5/2010

House of Kabob was one of the best experiences I've ever had but other than the great food and outstanding service there is another key factor os this successful business that I'd like to include. Theres a really nice waiter named Majeed also known as Majo who catches my eyes every time i get a single glance at him. He is very sexy and I'd advice others to come, eat, and look at Majo. =) more

Not bad but not the best! 9/7/2010

We ate at the House of Kabob yesterday and we had a pleasant time. We started with a most-o-khiar, falafel and must-o musir. The portion are good size for appetizer and one per person is sometimes too much. The must o khiar and musir were 'OK'. Not bad but not the best! The falafel were kinda too hard for me and a little bit dry but it was interesting to see the form of those falafels. I has then a chicken soltani. The main course was good, good kobideh and good chicken (juicy and well seasoned). The portion are generous. We own a restaurant and we might have a really critical view of the situation, nevertheless, that's what we felt. The atmosphere of the restaurant really need to improve, the lighting needs to be improved and some Persian music would have been a perfect fit. To summarize, an ok restaurant to eat, you're not gonna get sick to eat there but the experience won't be the best you will have for a Persian restaurant in the US. more

Great food-- try the Cornish game hen 5/17/2009

For a leisurely, delicious meal I recommend House of Kabob. The game hen is truly succulent and the other dishes are well above-average. The service is friendly if a trifle slow. But you will want to linger for the rose water ice cream. Pros: Wonderful and friendly-- if not fast--service Cons: A little slow getting the check to you more

Favorite Restaurant in Nashville 12/27/2008

Consistently great tasting food. I'm never dissapointed with the food. Try the bahmieh an okra stew served over rice. The kubideh is excellent as well. They're so nice I decided to have their food catered for my wedding rehearsal dinner. We those these guys! Bon Appetit! Pros: Delicious Food, great price and service Cons: I need to decorate this place more

Friendly, Fantastic Kabobs 5/9/2008

I've eaten at House of Kabob more times than I can count, and have never had anything but an exceptional experience. I've branched out to stews a few times, but the koobideh kabob, or koobideh / lamb shank combo, usually draw me in. They are both delicious. On top of the food, the servers are friendly. The building and interior are not the prettiest in town, but I always feel at home during meals there. I can't recommend it enough. Pros: Food, Staff, Food Cons: None, but don't expect 5 star decor more

Excellent value 4/29/2008

Went for lunch with my husband after reading the review on Citysearch. It was exactly as stated in terms of the delicious food. It was more than what we'd usually spend on a lunch during a work day but well worth it. Food was fresh and yummy. Pros: Delicious food more

great place 4/5/2008

A teen at Overton High School told me to go to this Restaurant for some good M.E. Food.. He said the resturant was family owned. I laughed and said"" Maybe one day we would go"". A couple weeks later after a soocer game. Some of the team members said they wanted to go to the House Of Kabobs. So we went.. This restaurant is great. My 2 son order diffrent from me. We tried each other plates and love it. The customer service was great the food was awsome.. Pros: all around great place.. Cons: could not find none.. more

Pleasant atmosphere 2/25/2007

The homemade hot sauce is really hot and made fresh. I had something from the lunch menu as I didn't know anything about this kind of food. It was OK and the service was quick and efficient. It seemed very ""Americanized"", but I 've only been once. I envisioned something on a stick, but it was like a little rolled up tube of seasoned meat. Other meat type was too chewy. The rice was so-so but the salad was cilantra and cheese wrapped in a wedge of pita bread which I really liked. more

authentic middle eastern food at a great price 11/3/2006

we ordered takeout from here and couldn't have been happier - fast service, delicious food, super friendly staff and really reasonable prices. the salmon kabob was some of the best grilled salmon i've ever had. excellent hummus, kashk (eggplant dip), and falafel, and generous portions. although we had takeout and didn't dine in, the ambiance seemed casual, low-key and friendly. will definitely go back. highly recommended. Pros: delicious, authentic middle eastern food, great service Cons: can't think of any more

Sooooo good! 2/12/2006

House of Kabob has excellent food and service. If you're looking for a change in your cuisine choices, I would recommend this place. It is very authentic and the workers are very open to explaining what certain words on the menu mean. I had the lamb and my boyfriend had the salmon - both were excellent. The hummus is an amazing appetizer - I highly recommend it. I will go back to House of kabob again and try other foods! Pros: friendly service, delicious food, inexpensive more

Great food, great people, love it!!! 7/27/2005

If you are love great M.E. food you will love House of Kabob. I travel a lot and try to sample as many M.E. restaurants as I can. Out of the 20+ places I have been to House of Kabob is in the top 5. Wonderful food! more

Run, don't walk! 9/27/2004

If you like Mediterranean food, this place is fantastic! The service is impeccable, the prices are reasonable, and the food is terrific! We ordered the Family Meal, and the star was definitely the chicken skewers and the roasted tomatoes. The other items were really good, but overshadowed by the chicken. They were out of cornish hen when we went, which usually comes on the Family Platter, so we did not try that - YET! :-) The Shirazi was really good, but again, overshadowed by the Taboli, which was even better! They have an extensive menu, so you could eat there often and not grow tired of it. I will be back very soon! Pros: Great food, Great service, Reasonable prices more

Worth Going Back 10/4/2003

I took my extended family to House of Kabob while home on leave. I will certainly be going back to there everytime I am home. The staff was very friendly and hard working and made sure everything was to our liking. The seven of us tried different items on the menu and all of them were superb. If you are looking for really good lamb then this is your place. The portions are by far more than enough and they even have things like yogurt soda (haven't had that since I was in the Middle East the last time). Make sure you try some of the appetizers. Oh and make sure to call ahead since they may or may not require reservations depending on the crowd. Pros: great lamb, service, quaint more
