Excellent staff! 7/30/2010

We started going to Hope because of a vet referral for some fertility/AI treatments for our dog. Dr. Tim did an outstanding job and always had time for our questions. He even offered to let me observe one of the A/I procedures on our dog - AWESOME! The care given to us and our dog throughout the course of her treatments, pregnancy, c-section, and ultimate loss of our puppy was enough for us to switch from our local (and very highly recommended) vet to Hope Animal Clinic. We drive an hour now from San Antonio when there are clearly numerous other options, but after having had the experience of working with Dr. Tim and his entire staff, there was no doubt in choosing them as our vet clinic. Pros: Caring, knowledgeable, professional Cons: They're an hour from us - but they're worth it! more

Very poorly run clinic 4/5/2009

My husband is stationed in Iraq right now...and around 1am I noticed that his favorite cat was unable to stand and seemed to be having a difficult time breathing. I called the after hours number for this clinic to get assistance...and to my poor cat's great misfortune...they never called me back. She died in my arms...without a single word from them. Thanks Hope Animal Clinic...thanks for crushing my HOPE. Freya Alexander RIP - SALEM AMBER ALEXANDER: Died 4:30am 4/06/2009 I just wanted to post an update. They have had several days to respond to my messages inquiring as to why they would rather let animals die than answer their ON CALL phone or return messages. I have not heard from them. Telling my husband that his favorite cat died was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. Neither of us thinks that an apology from them for not at least calling me back is too much to ask. Cons: They clearly have no desire to do their jobs. more
