USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK. horrible scam that exists to harass tenants and extort fees. They are horrifically unorganized, do not know the condition of the properties they manage and use every opportunity to charge you additional fees. Their answer to every issue is: ""You can pay to fix it or move out"". Completely and totally shady. more

Awful owner! Rude and talks down to 5/31/2012

Awful owner! Rude and talks down to the caretakers. We used HIT while we were building a new home. The houses we moved into were dirty and falling apart. Trying to get anything fixed was very difficult. We were told to live without a kitchen sink or dishwasher or pay to fix it all ourselves. I don't think the houses were even safe-I am pretty sure one house had lead paint. It is very stressful to have your house spotless every day and have realtors show up unannounced. I would never recommend this to any one! Horrible experience. more

Homes In Transition was the Answer Our Prayers! 3/14/2012

We were in a huge dilemma when relocating to Albq. from out of state. We sold our home and with a house full of furniture, 3 kids & a dog we were NOT suited for an apartment. Being new to the area, we had no idea about what part of town we wanted to live in. So our Realtor referred us to HIT to have them find us a home to live in while we continued looking for a home to buy. This was a great opportunity for us to became familiar with the city. We were in 2 homes with Homes In Transition before purchasing our dream home in the far NE Heights. The staff was very professional & always were willing to ""go the extra mile"" for us. We are grateful to our Realtor for telling us about this option in lieu of having to sign a lease to rent a house that we would have certainly had to pay a premium price to rent. Paying only 140.00/wk. to live in a HIT property allowed us a chance to save even more money to purchase our home. It just makes sense!! Homes In Transition was the perfect solution for us and we recommend this company to anyone who wants to live in a nice home for less money than renting. It was a great experience from beginning to end. more

GREAT Housing Solution 3/14/2012

Homes In Transition is a great company to work with! We researched other companies before going with them and we are thrilled with our experience! They placed me and my family in a beautiful home in the NE Heights while we are repairing our credit, so we can eventually purchase our own home. Their staff is really great to work with, the homes they offered us are very nice and we would refer them to anybody! more

I was able to maintain my standard of living on hard times 3/13/2012

After being laid off twice and having a situation in my personal relationship, Homes In Transition helped me find a house that was just the right size to help me get back on my feet. I saved my pride and even managed to get a job that was better than what I expected. Their staff was so considerate to my situation and made me feel like part of their family. This was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone in a transitional phase of their life. more

Great for Newcomers or Folks Not Ready to Buy a Home 3/13/2012

Homes in Transition has been around a long time, and they have perfected the Caretaker Program. You get to live in a really nice house instead of a studio apartment for about the same cost! Granted, you need to keep the home show ready while it is on the market for sale and accomodate Realtor Showings and Open Houses, but lots of us live this way (neat & tidy) already. I also like that you don't have to sign a year lease, and it by staying in different citywide houses, you get to ""try it before you buy"" .... it's a great deal and I send a lot of people to Homes in Transition. They have an A+ rating w/ the Better Business Bureau, and that's also important to me when I am referring others. more

Rents FORECLOSED Homes 9/14/2011

This Company takes advantage of people losing their homes. Company continues to lease out the property after the house has been auctioned off by the bank! The tenant continues to pay until he gets a notice from the bank to leave the property. A very shady business here! more
