I have no doubt that Home Fix does a great job as a contractor. I was pleased that they approached me for a free estimate on a roof. I do however disagree with some of their business practices. Everyone is not always readily available and sometimes people have opposite schedules. I explained to Will on the phone that my wife works an opposite schedule than I do and that the time that was agreed upon was still best. He repeatedly suggested how I should speak to my wife about a quote. At no point did I ask for his opinion or suggestion with respect to how I approach things in my own home. Way to lose business for what seems to be a company that has pleased a great number of people, Will. We had Homefix Corporation put in some insulation in the attic, install a patio door, and do some work on the outside of the house. So far, they have completed three of the four tasks and they all look pretty good. The workers came out when they said they were going to and seem to be doing an efficient job. They came on time and they were courteous, putting on booties over their shoes when they came in the house. The sales rep follows up pretty well and the workers show up on time. more

Homefix put in new windows, replacing the old ones and it turned out wonderfully. They came in and just went about their work very professionally, kept everything nice and clean, and were done in no time. I've already recommended them to two people. We had Homefix Corporation replace windows in our home. I was struck by the absolute professionalism of their company. The windows came and were installed perfectly. They lived up to everything that they had guaranteed. The installers were very professional as well. The windows look great and they work great. We had been looking for windows for our house. We had looked at several other companies doing windows. We called them over to look at the windows and give us an estimate on those as well as on our roof. After looking at the products, pricing, and team they had, we decided to go ahead and try them out. We had them replace two windows to begin with. They were difficult windows: they're in brick in a home built in '58. They put them in and got a perfect fit. Having custom-made windows made the job a whole lot easier. The service people were absolutely wonderful and made sure everything was perfectly square, perfectly caulked, and flush. After that we had them do another two windows. It was the same exact team and we had the same exact experience. The third time, they came and did three more windows for us. We expected the same service as those first two experiences and we got the same service. Now we're going to have them finish out the last three windows we have and expect the same thing. more

Homefix Corporation installed a door for me and put insulation in the attic. The workers were on time, cordial and courteous. They did a good job and did not leave a mess behind when the work was done. more

HomeFix does NOT keep customers informed about schedule. We were told windows would be installed in August but they did not arrive until end of October. I had to call to find out there would be a delay. Someone should have called to let me know the date had slipped multiple times. This lack of communication continued when HomeFix needed to return to fix problems with the initial installation. I was told they would be back in December. It is mid March and they still have not called me to inform me of a delay. When I call, I am told they should be in next week and the installation guy will call next week. I am still waiting for next week. At this rate, the process from contract signing to return to fix problems from initial installation will take 1 year! more

Homefix Corporation came on time and they finished the job. One thing was ending on the first day and then they came the day after and finished the rest. It was a roofing job. The people were lovely. They knew what they were doing and answered all of our questions. It was overall a good experience. There was one person who oversaw everything and checked to make sure they were doing a good job. He was also the point person for any questions we had. They are a very good company. They tell you beforehand how they are going to do the job and explain things to you. They come on time and finish the job on time. more

I used Homefix Corporation to get a new roof and a new center pane for my bay window. The roof went on very quickly, but they left a mess. When they threw the shingles off of my roof, they totally messed up and scratched my nice white vinyl rail below. It was absolutely filthy. There were still nails on my deck, so I had to pick those up. I called the sales representative about my railing because I was furious and wanted it replaced (or at least cleaned). They sent a guy to clean it. The scratches were still there, but I didn't want to deal with it anymore. Homefix came to measure the window a couple of months later. I already had the surrounding panes in it. The guy doing the measurement didn't note the layout correctly, so the new piece did not fit when he came back out with it. Another measurement and ordering process had to be done. I didn't get the correct pane for another few weeks. The guys who installed it were great, though. They were nothing like the roof installers. They were very clean, friendly, and conscientious about not damaging anything. They were really top-of-the-line. When it came down to making the final payment, I told Homefix I needed to check the window because the outside appearance had been changed a little. I wanted to make sure it was all compliant with my homeowners' association. Well, they had gone ahead and charged my credit card anyway, without waiting for any kind of authorization from me. I wasn't very happy about that. They failed to discuss things with me before that charge. I still have all of their window trim samples at my house because no one has even bothered to contact me about getting them. I think if Homefix Corporation either paid more attention to their customer service, or had somebody actually conduct follow-up after the work, it would be a lot better. As it was, everyone but the window installers themselves gave off an attitude of "don't care". Homefix Corporation installed 28 windows for us. On a couple of the windows I wasn't thrilled with installation, which is why I rated them down slightly. Overall we're happy with the windows, though. Our salesman was James Taylor. We like him a lot and he was a big reason why we bought the windows. Overall we liked the people. This was our first job with Homefix and first time meeting them. I think they sell a good window that is something worth investing in. more

Homefix Corporation installed a great deal of windows in our home. I appreciated that service and was satisfied with the work they did. They were on time, and they completed everything well. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was that they mistakenly cut some wires of my alarm system when putting in one of the windows. That cost me a bit of additional money to fix. more
