Holland Rental on Western Blvd in Raleigh NC made our wedding the most special event of September 2008. My husband and I had to move our wedding date up 1 year due to a family members terminal illness. With less than 6 weeks to pull all of this together, Mr Holland and his staff helped guide us through the whole process of what and how much we would need for this to be a beautiful event. We rented multiple tents, tables, chairs, dinnerware, glassware, silverware, linens, chafing dishes and even the karaoke machine. Pros: Outstanding customer service and products more

My daughter recently got married in Raleigh and we rented a canopy with tables, linens, and chairs from Holland Rent-All. The staff was pleasant to work with from the start and their prices were very reasonable. We had to have the items delivered and they arrived at the time we had scheduled. The personnel at Holland Rent-all see to it the equipment we have reserved is ready on time and functioning properly. Their staff is experienced and the equipment works well. We reserved an aerator for our lawn, at least we thought we had by giving our name and credit card information. We got a call Saturday morning letting us know we were ""late"" and would lose our rental if we did not show up soon. The person on the phone was curt and rude and was sure we were one of his ""no-shows"". We tried to explain that we were not given any specific time and that since we had an all day rental that it should not matter. They said they had another aerator and we had to be there in 30 minutes. We realized that we might not make in 30 minutes and called them back out of courtesy. Again, we understood it was an all day rental and so why the rudeness? When we asked what the problem was we were told ""never mind, don't come in to pick up the aerator, I don't need this"". So basically Holland Rent-All left us stranded all ready to do this job and no tools. These guys need to learn the minimum standards of working with customers and not assume that the customer is wrong from the outset. I have rented candelabras, punch bowls, fountains, tablecloths, etc from this place for my wedding and for birthday and anniversary parties. They have great service and great prices. I highly recommend them. more

The company I work for sent me to Holland Rental to rent 2 food storage thermo boxes. We had a catering on 9-11-2007 to feed all the police,fire and rescue workers in wake co. so we needed the extra equipment really bad. When Holland Rental found out what we doing they refused to rent us the equipment. instead they insisted we take the equipment at no charge as a donation to the cause. I've rented glassware for a party and a couple of pieces of yard equipment from Hollard Rent-All. Each time I've had to wait forever to pick up the equipment and to return it. The inspection on checkout is not detailed, but it is when you return it. Get all the defects in writing before you leave the store or you'll end up paying for other's damage and normal wear. Some of the glassware was broken during the party, and I offered to pay for them as soon as I returned them. Holland tried to tell me that I'd rented 12 more items than I actually did. Thankfully I had my rental agreement with me. The clerk acted as if she was doing me a favor by honoring the rental agreement. Holland is the closest rental agency to my home but it's worth an extra drive to go elsewhere. Cons: nickling and diming more

Their equipment was fine but 2 people I spoke with in person were very rude. I must have spoken with someone else on the phone, very polite. However, picking up and returning equipment was different. I rented a tiller and when I got back the tines were worn to nothing. I'm sure it must have been a service oversight but when I brought it back, I waited 15 min. while the guy sat at a workbench doing nothing. When he finally felt like lookin gat the tiller, he had the nerve to say I must have worn out the tines in some rocks. Are you a friggin MORON or what? Look at the hour meter. It hadn't even run but a couple of minutes when I saw it wasn't tilling. Baretto tines are incredibly strong but they do waer out, over time! F**k these idiots. Cons: unprofessional more
