I've rented glassware for a party and a couple of pieces of yard equipment from Hollard Rent-All. Each time I've had to wait forever to pick up the equipment and to return it.
The inspection on checkout is not detailed, but it is when you return it. Get all the defects in writing before you leave the store or you'll end up paying for other's damage and normal wear.
Some of the glassware was broken during the party, and I offered to pay for them as soon as I returned them. Holland tried to tell me that I'd rented 12 more items than I actually did. Thankfully I had my rental agreement with me. The clerk acted as if she was doing me a favor by honoring the rental agreement.
Holland is the closest rental agency to my home but it's worth an extra drive to go elsewhere.
