My experience with Holden Roofing has been extremely positive. I contacted Holden to inspect the hail damage from a storm occurring earlier this year. During the initial meeting, the sales rep Tony Chiarle explained the whole process with me in detail and was forthright with the contract. After hearing negative comments about Holding Roofing from other competing roofing companies a few days later, I was a little concerned with my choice. I went ahead and trusted Tony with the job since I appreciated how he is straightforward, responsive and professional. Throughout the process of replacing the roof, window beading and A/C combing, Tony took care of me and made sure I was aware of each activity. Tony?s strong communication skills definitely made the whole process go smoothly. more

TWO TIMES IN THE LAST 12 YEARS I HAD TO REPLACE MY ROOF. I LIVE IN KATY TEXAS. HOLDEN ROOFING HAS DONE IT AGAIN...I COULD NOT HAVE ASK FOR A BETTER COMPANY. THE FIRST ROOF I HAD PUT ON WAS 1999. AT THAT TIME THE CREW SHOWED UP WHEN THEY WERE ASK TO COME AS I DID NOT WANT ROOFER ON MY ROOF IN THE EARLY MORNING. I WORK NIGHTS. HOLDEN ROOFING CAME AND COMPLETED THE JOB JUST AS THEY STATED. THEY CLEANED UP THE YARD USED THIS LARGE MAGNET LIKE ROLLER TO ROLL OVER MY YARD TO MAKE SURE THERE WERE NO NAILS LEFT BEHIND! I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK WHEN HAIL HIT MY ROOF AGAIN I CALLED HOLDEN ROOFING FOR THE SECOND TIME AND A SALES REPRESENTATIVE DAVID GREGORY CAME TO MY HOME. HE REPRESENTED THE HOLDEN ROOFING COMPANY WITH A GREAT DEAL OF EXPERIENCE..HE EVEN TOLD THE ADJUSTER THAT THE WINDOW BEADING NEEDED TO BE REPLACE EVEN THOUGH HOLDEN ROOFING DOES NOT REPLACE WINDOW BEADING!!!! THE ADJUSTER AGREED AND PAID ME. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HOLDEN ROOFING OR THERE REPRESENTING SALEMAN. THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR A VERY LONG TIME. I KNOW THEY WILL BE HERE FOR ME BOTH NOW AND IN THE FUTURE. THEY ARE AND WILL AWAYS REMAIN MY ROOFING COMPANY! MY NEIGHBOR TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE ROOFING COMPANY SHE USED. I POLITELY SAID NO THANKS ""I'LL TAKE HOLDEN ROOFING"" THEY HAVE BEEN STANDING BEHIND THEIR WORK FOR YEARS. I DON'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY..THEY MIGHT NOT BE THERE FOR ME. I KNOW HOLDEN ROOFING WILL AND I BET DAVID GREGORY WILL BE TO, THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR YEARS AND IT SHOWS. THEY ARE GREAT FOLKS TO WORK WITH. PROFESSIONAL AND VERY VERY SERVICE ORIENTED. more

During the early morning hours, when Hurricane Ike roared through Tomball, TX, two very, very large and old trees fell through my roof. Rain poured thorough the holes in the roof. I started calling roofing companies, leaving messages as to the severity of the damage. I even called a roofing company that had previously done work for me. I made dozens of calls but there were not any callbacks. Then Holden Roofing called. I explained my situation. ?We will be out later today,? they told me. It was getting dark, I doubted they were coming and then, there they were. They covered the holes with tarps, working by the light of flashlights. They assured me they would get the job done and they did. From that point on Rudy worked closely with me, picking out the roofing, color, etc. and scheduling the installation (at my convenience). When conflicts arose with my claims adjuster it was Holden Roofing who went to the bat for me. Rudy spoke directly to my claims adjuster, sent pictures of the roof, and explaining discrepancies. I also had structural damage in the support beams. Holden Roofing handled this for me too. When the crew came to put the new roof on they did a great job and their clean up was terrific too. Everything about my experience with Holden Roofing was positive and professional.I have a beautiful, quality roof now and Holden roofing is my roofer! more

Holden quickly responded after a hail storm hit our area. Our representative came out and shared with us the options they provide and answered all questions and concerns both while he was at our house and after he left. The crew that came to install the new roof was very courteous and worked hard to keep the yard clear of debris, including our fish pond. When the install was completed and the crew left, the only way you could tell they had been there was the beautiful new roof. more

If Holden Roofing ... and/or their representative Kyle approaches you after a storm ... RUN! There is nothing that he will say that will in fact be accurate. CALL A Local Roofing Company, someone who was there before the storm and will be there after the storm. Someone who is a part of the community you live in. These folks (Holden Roofing) are storm chasers. You will be another mark. more

Holden Roofing just finished replacing my hail-damaged roof, and I want to compliment them in the highest manner. Every aspect to Holden roofing work was preformed in the most professional way. Holden?s Rep. Duane Echols gave a pre-inspection on my roof and found storm damage. He then called in a damage specialist to confirm the damage was storm related, and was on hand to meet with the insurance adjusters to protect my best interest. The adjusters were satisfied that there was damage from the storm and the claim was allowed. more

Holden Roofing is active in a retirement neighborhood in San Antonio. In a very rapid fashion, they present a sheet of paper (which does not resemble a contract) to these older, retired folks, and tell them that they need to sign it to give Holden permission to get on the roof. In actuality, the paper is a contract that requires any work to be done by Holden or the person must pay a 20% liquidated damages penalty to Holden. Very poor ethics. more

They are like ambulance chasers after a storm. Pestered me till I let them look at my roof and then they promised me a new roof at no cost to me.Never asked about my insurance. When the salesman went on roof he damaged it to the point I had to get a new roof. Dont let them on your roof unless you are sure you need a new one. more

After being denied by my insurance company, I read the reviews and checked with the BBB. Many roofing companies that I looked researched had only been in business for a short period of time (less than 3 years). Surprised that Holden has been in business for nearly 50 years, I gave them a call. Their staff was very courteous and a salesman called me back promptly to make an appointment. After informing him of our situation, we called my insurance company and scheduled another inspection (this time with Holden). Long story short, this time the insurance company agreed that I had damage and agreed to replace my roof. Removing and installing the roof only took ONE DAY! Do yourself a favor and call Holden. more

After the recent hail storm, I found myself in need of a new roof. I contacted my insurance company and one of their adjusters came out looked at my roof and said he did not see any damage. I knew this could not be right because all of my neighbors were having new roofs put on! I got the number to Holden Roofing from a sign in my neighbors yard and gave them a call. Chad from Holden came out that evening to look at my roof. He met another insurance representitive at my home and got my claim approved. Thanks a million Chad and Holden Roofing! more

Hired them to do my reroof from hurricane Ike and regret it now. After having to clean up behind these idiots I had to reinstall the lights they tore off my house, clean my pool out from the shingles they through in it and fix my a/c from the debris they dropped on it. Now my roof looks worse than it did before they did the job. After complaining for 8 months they told me that I should have redeck my house but no ever said that until I complained. I'm not the roofer and they sure aren't either. I would not recomend them to anyone. Cons: take your money for crappy work more

Holden , Jonathan Sledge, who repersented himself as a metel roof expert is into the 8 th month of trying to put my roof on. He is not a metel roof expert. He is a bottom feeder salesman. ( not a good ethical saleman) The had us sign a contract in Oct. it is now May 19, 09 and my roof still has not passed the Inspection required by Texas Windstorm. They did not have metal roof crews, they do not return phone call, they are rude, I am so angry and upset right now that I can not complete this review. Pros: There are no Pros about this group of lying group of crooks Cons: They have taken 8 months to get my roof on. more

Holden replaced our storm damaged roof very recently. They showed up early in the morning with a large crew (12-14 guys) who worked throughout the day and were finished by late afternoon. All the materials and quality of work were as agreed upon. They did an exceptional job of cleanup and were considerate and courteous to work with. Our sales rep was very helpful in working with our insurance company. We have been very pleased with the whole experience. Pros: Large, well qualified crew who did great work. Cons: I have none. more

Holden put a new roof on my house 4 months before Ike and I live in West Houston. I did not so much as have a bent shingle after the storm. During the process of looking for a roofer, Holden had the best response, they were on time or early to every appointment and had the best service and price. I walked my yard and driveway for a couple weeks looking for nails and have yet to find any. Since then they have done 6 of my friends and families roofs and they are all thrilled and giving out Holden refferrals. DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH YOUR ROOF EXCEPT HOLDEN. My roof was damaged by Hurrican Ike. Holden roofing was one of the roofing companies that could make it by. I have to admit I was stupid and had a lot going on at the time so I signed an agreement for them to represent and replace the roof. I now know that I should not have done business with anyone who won't give you an estimate and insists on working with the insurance company. To make a long story short the insurance company agreed to a total roof replacement, so I contacted Trey B. with Holden and made arrangemnets for the roof. He gave me a time line that of course they did not stick to. When they finally got around to the job, not one person on the crew could speak any English, so there was no way to communicate. They left a total mess there was trash, cigarette butts, shingle wrappers and nails everywhere. The roof looked a little wavy; I know that can happen until you get a warm day., so I waited and there were quite a bit of shingles that never flattened out. They had also put a whole in one of our screens and left black marks all over the house where shingles had impacted the house. As far as the mess was concerned, it was in the contract that they would clean up., so I called the next morning to complain. I left a message with a receptionist and never heard anything so I called again later in the afternoon and still no response. So I went to Home Depot purchased my own magnet and spent several hours picking up nails and trash. It took for ever to get a response from anyone with the company. When Trey B finally came to adress the issues that needed to be adressed he became very rude and irrate with me (a woman) and started making threats about putting a lean on our house, instead of nicely agreeing to repair the issues that were wrong and to compensate me for my clean up. On top of that I was informed by the roof inspector that they over charged by at least double and he wanted me to call the attorney general to report them for price gouging. Pros: I can't think of any Cons: overcharged, undependable, poor communication, incredibly rude, unreliable, horrible experience more
