The Wilhite House has had over 175 weddings over the past 5 years and our list of happy brides far exceeds the list of those who have not been pleased. A long list of testimonies from very happy brides can be found at our WilhiteHouse website on the testimony page. \r

It would not be honest to say that all brides have been happy about everything we do but it is truthful to say that myself and our staff put sincere effort, energy and determination into each and every wedding to assure it is as close to perfect as possible.\r

Because we are a full service facility and offer all of the components of a wedding, it leaves us open to more scrutiny than we would get if we offered just the venue, just the catering, or just the cake, etc. On the flip side of that, we offer so many of the components that it saves time and effort on the bride's part when pulling her wedding together. And, there is never a guarentee that other vendors would do things any different than we do.\r

When reading reveiws of The Wilhite House that are unfavorable, we are committed to looking at them realistically and not simply dismissing them as unjust. When a person writes that virtually everything was wrong with a wedding, right down the the way we were dressed, I honestly have to say that that person is writing with prejudice and inaccuracy... Our weddings are beautiful and the majority of the time come off without a hitch!! \r

Myself and my husband moved to Anderson in 2004 and opened for business in 2005. When we arrived we didn't know anyone; our family being on the west coast. Today we have a long list of friends and many of them are former brides and their famlies!! In fact we receive invitations to celebrations nearly every year from famlies of former brides! Likewise, former wedding famlies are on our invitation list to parties. I have a former bride who lives in Charlotte who stops by to visit or bring a surprise gift (she knows exaclty what I like!) everytime she and her husband are in Anderson. And I, in turn send her home with home baked cookies! She, like many others, were so pleased with The Wilhite House and myself and my husband, that we have become long-term friends.\r

When a bride makes the decision to book her wedding at The Wilhite House, we make a committment to offering as much assistance as possible to make her day perfect: we have installed dimmer switches throughout the house because a bride asked that we dim the lighting, we have made curtains for privacy because a bride told us she would like to eat in a room where no one could see her. \r
We also make it a point to ""gift"" something to every bride, whether it is the cake platform, upgrade to the centerpieces, upgrade to the reception chair ties or one of our other great options.\r
\r
We have built our business with n honesty that includes providing ALL the costs of a wedding including tax, gratuity and security deposit before a bride chooses to book...we do not hide anything. \r
\r
Also, it is noteworthy to mention that at least 50% of our staff, including our chef, are family members of former events...The Wilhite House must have made these people very happy in order for them to desire to work here.\r

We know that you will find negative reviews on this site. I have considered contacting our happy brides and asking them to plaster this site with positive reviews but decided instead, to approach it personally and with integrity and trust that those who read reviews will acknowledge that there are ALWAYS two sides to a story and will take the time to look on our website at the positive reviews that are posted there as well.\r
\r
We invite any of you to meet with us, become facebook friends with us and dozens or our brides, past, present & future, question us about your concerns and allow us to share our side to the story!\r
