I have been taking my CRV to Hinshaw's for service almost five years now, and always receive excellent service. Staff is always there to greet me at the door, and always get me checked in within minutes, even without an appointment. They also offer a free car wash in addition to a reasonably priced oil change with coupons I receive via their handy e-mail service. The waiting area is clean and comfortable with TV and play area for small children, AND free Wi-Fi which I especially appreciate. Thank you Hinshaw's! more

Great service department. I went in for a factory recall and they were able to do it quickly as well as fix other repairs I asked about without an appointment. The staff were all super friendly and took care of every customer that came in while I was there. They also hand washed my car! more

I have been a loyal Hinshaws customer for over 10 years. My wife has had a Honda for over 20 and Hinshaws has been our dealer of choice. Her experience is what brought me to Hinshaws. The service she received every time she got her oil changes and scheduled services was leaps and bounds above what I was getting at my dealership. I think dealers forget that the experience isn't over when you drive off the lot. Hinshaws doesn't! I have always been offered a loaner car when I can't wait, the guys always make me understand what is going on with my service even when it's just the oil change. I unfortunately wrecked my Honda and used their team to put my baby back together and I have to say you can't tell it has been worked on. We have a 14 year old and I can't wait to hand my Honda down to him and purchase my new car at Hinshaws. more

My wife and I went to Hinshaw's a few month ago to buy a CR-V since one, we're pregnant and two, we have bought cars from them before. When we found the vehicle we wanted we sat down with the seller to go over the numbers. We advised the salesman that we thought there was so much left on the vehicle that we were trading in and he told us to sit at his desk while him, the manager, and the finance person would crunch some numbers. After a few minutes, the salesman came back and advised us that it turns out we had a little bit more owing on the car than we estimated but it wouldn't be a big deal. So after a little waiting and debating the figures we agree and we signed the vehicles for the vehicle. After a few weeks, Jeremy from Hinshaws called us letting us know that we needed to sign some new papers because he found a new loan company. We came in and signed the papers thinking this was not an abnormal. After a few days, Jeremy called me to let me know that I owe Hinshaws $900 for what was owing on the total pay off of the old car...they had set the payoff to our original estimate, not the amount they knew was owing on the car. After disputing this issue with Jeremy, I told him to email me so we could sort this out and we had no problem taking the car back to Hinshaws. Jeremy NEVER emailed or called me back...I called Jesse the sales manager to discuss the situation. Jesse told me that he would resolve the issue, however he never called me back either. After a month or so, my wife and I received a bill from Hinshaws for the $900. We decided we had enough and on a Saturday morning decided to pay Jesse and Hinshaws a visit. When we arrived we asked for either someone in finance of a manager. Since everyone was in a meeting, they had Monte, another manager assist us who walked around like he was a big shot but didn't really help us. Finally, Jesse came out to meet us, and we told him of our dissatisfaction of what has transpired and what they could do to assist us. He told me that he had called me back previously and said i could work out a payment plan with Hinshaws which I do not remember him calling me back, because he never did. He then went through the sales agreement with me. I told him I know what the agreement says but my family had bought a total of seven cars from them and they should be able to appreciate their loyal customers better. He said, unfortunately there is nothing he can do. I told him that I am never going back to Hinshaws again and I will let everyone know how unappreciative of their loyal customers they are and how they say one thing but do another. Also, they struggle with their customer service. I can honestly say I will never go back to Hinshaws ever!!! I will be writing a formal complaint to this company as well as the better business bureau.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE more

Made the Extra Effort 9/19/2011

Honda looking for a car. I'm currently a graduate student with both limited income and credit, and every other dealership I visited ""booted"" me as soon as they looked at my credit application. I worked with Sean at Hinshaw's, and he did a great job finding me a car that fit my specifications. Kyle, the business manager, worked hard to secure funding for my purchase. They made the effort that no other dealership I was visited was willing to make, and I really appreciated it. I would highly recommend visiting Hinshaw's Honda if you're looking to purchase a new or used car. I will definitely visit them again for my next car. more

Jim, GM will ruin this dealership 9/3/2011

Jim, the GM of Hinshaw's in Auburn is a pompous ass with no morals or ethics whatsoever. He's a man (and I use that term loosely) who obviously tries to wield his illegitimate power over others (especially women) in an attempt to boost is overinflated ego. Unfortunately for Jim, anyone with an IQ over 50 can see right through him. I feel sorry for any person that may unknowingly be forced to deal with him. Because of Jim, I will continue to post as many reviews as possible to forewarn anyone considering buying a vehicle at their location. This is a pity as the Salesman (Dex) and Finance contact (Kyle) were incredibly helpful. \r Jim, the GM of Hinshaw's in Auburn is a pompous ass with no morals or ethics whatsoever. NEVER AGAIN! 5/23/2011

I bought a Honda Civic 2010 in 2009 from Hinshaw's Honda of Auburn assuming it was NEW. It had only 9 miles on it when I had purchased it. A couple days ago I went to another dealership to trade in my Honda Civic, during the transaction of the trade you are asked a series of questions regarding your car, like ""Were you ever in an accident."" Well of course I answered ""No"" to that question, because from my understanding from when I purchased the car was that I was buying a NEW car straight from the lot with only 9 miles. Well the dealership that I was doing the trade with did a CarFax on my VIN number on my Civic and found that my car was in an accident 7 days before I bought it!!! I was in soooo much shock! They have no code of ethics. They sold me that car knowing that it had been in an accident and did not bother to tell me about it. Moral of the story, it's a good idea to check CarFax on a USED and NEW cars because even a NEW car could have a bad car history on it. The thing that sucks THE MOST about this, is that the value of my car went waaay down because of the accident. I'm still in shock and would like everyone to know of their dishonesty. more

Frustrated but I was taken care of... 12/7/2010

I must have been the easiest sale in auto history. I did the research and knew exactly what I wanted and told them to bring me the Ridgeline. I sat in the lobby while they searched for it and eventually found it. One catch, finance a canopy into it. They went with Canopy West in Auburn and it was incredibly frustrating. Nothing went right with the order and the ""Internet"" salesman who sold me the truck never followed up on his repeated statements to guarantee satisfaction. 80 days later and too many issues to recant, I finally requested a refund and refused to do business with Canopy West. I informed the ""Internet"" salesman my intent to get a refund and he said the General Manager of Hinshaws Honda was forcing me to either have them take care installing the canopy or transferring the canopy to Tukwila for installation. I choose none of the above and requested my money back because I wanted to take my business elsewhere. There was some confusion on who paid who but finally the general manager from Hinshaw’s got involved and coordinated a time for me to drop off the truck at their shop then they would take it in because I refused any involvement with Canopy West. When my truck returned it was a mess. First the removed parts that they did not have to and replaced the screws with ones that did not match the others. One of those screws was broke off flush and another was only in halfway. Also, they forgot to put 2 screws back in where the mounting brackets were installed. There were a lot of glue left behind from the canopy and the trunk lid was bent. Hinshaw’s worked on the truck for 2 hours in order to put it back together. In the end, Hinshaw’s made everything right but it was a very frustrating experience. I am going to change my rating from a 1 to a 3. I informed the ""Internet"" salesman my intent to get a refund and he said the General Manager of Hinshaws Honda was forcing me to either have them take care installing the canopy or transferring the canopy to Tukwila for installation. I choose none of the above and requested my money back because I wanted to take my business else where. At that point, the ""Internet"" salesman informed me that I was on my own to deal with this unprofessional company that Hinshaws Honda hooked me up with and refused the refund. Obviously, they do not care about customer satisfaction, from the top down, and I want people to know the type of service I received. I am in the service industry and would get fired for the type of service I got so I want consumers to know how Hinshaws Honda of Auburn does business. If you have the choice and can give your business to another dealership then I would highly recommend it. I wish I did, even with the free car wash with service I will never obtain since I will not take my vehicle there, EVER. Now Hinshaw's says they will not give me a refund and I have to work with Canopy West. Canopy West says they will not give me a refund and I have to go through Hinshaw's. I cannot believe this! Am I on TV? Is this punked? Finally the GM from Hinshaw's called me and is going to give me a refund. I am going to change the rating from a 1 to a 2 because this could have been handled a lot differently. more

The Place to Buy a Honda! 11/12/2010

I recently bought a car here after a friend of mine referred me to her salesperson, Jeremy. This was only my second time buying a car, so I was nervous about making the right decision and getting something that would fit my budget. Jeremy did a great job addressing my concerns and helped me to understand the process. After meeting the guys back in service, I'll definitely plan on stopping by for my oil changes. I would definitely recommend Hinshaw's! more

Friendly place 11/9/2010

This is the only place I'll take my Honda for service. Thankfully I haven't needed a whole lot of repairs, but when something has gone wrong, the guys in service have done a nice job explaining the repair and making sure my car is safe to drive. I take my car in regularly for oil changes; the best part is the wash included with the service. It's a friendly place with good service. more

Take a Look 11/4/2010

As a first-time car buyer (and a fairly young one), I was more or less ignored at most of the dealerships I visited while car shopping. I ultimately ended up buying a car from Hinshaw's because of Don, my salesman. He was respectful and patient and took the time to explain the process in full to me; he didn't just assume that I wouldn't actually be able to buy anything at the end of the day (or if he did, he didn't let on). Don did his best to take what was quickly turning into a very unpleasant process and turn it into a good experience for me. I couldn't be happier with my new Civic. If you are looking for a car, Hinshaw's is definitely worth stopping by. more

Worth the Drive 11/3/2010

I purchased my vehicle here, and although I live a distance away (I pass a couple of other Honda dealerships on my way), I always get my car serviced at Hinshaw's. The guys at the counter all seem to know what they're doing and can easily answer my questions. When they do recommend additional services, they're respectful of whatever I decide to do (although I'm certain they wouldn't let me leave with an unsafe vehicle). All of the staff who walk by are friendly and say hello; some of the salesmen even sit and chat for a few minutes. They've made a loyal customer out of me, and I'll continue to make the drive to visit Hinshaw's. more

Money-Saving Service 11/3/2010

From all the service that I've had here (I purchased the vehicle here), I've never been disappointed. Anyone who performs the service always goes above and beyond. Hinshaw's has always been great. I feel like they always try to save you money. Today I needed tires, and I was going to go elsewhere--and instead, they did their best to find me a deal. A while back, I needed a headlight repair. They sold me the part, and to install it, it would have cost me $34.00 in labor. Instead, the service advisor offered to install it himself--and saved me the cash. The service here has always been unbelievable. I used to go to another shop, where I thought the service was great there; but Hinshaw's is another step up. They even wash your car! more
