Best

Our food came out on time and was prepared just right. I would recommend this place to a hungry person the portions are huge! Service as ok but the food made up for it! I?d go her...

Worst

Well i had the calamari, and it was nasty. Rubbery and chewy, but i guess im spoiled because i lived in spain for past 4 years and it was like a town favorite in out providence

Great Food 5/20/2009

We have eaten here several times - the food and service has always been good, and there is plenty of it. Prices are very reasonable. Parking can be a problem at lunch time as it is always busy. more

Yummy! 11/18/2008

I went to the HQ with my ex and his company for a company holiday party. It was wonderful! We had a selection that was to die for! The food the drinks the staff! We whre really treated like royallty! I love the attention to detail as I HAVE to have my food cooked a special way. They where great about it! more

the food is delicious and they have PRIME RIB WEDNESDAYS!! soo good!!! they have this wasabi sauce goes with their meat very well. there's a lot of seating but making a reservation helps a lot. more

A group of mid-30's professional men and I thought we'd start off a buddy's bachelor party with a great steak dinner before hitting the town. We got a decent meal at best. Pros: Steaks were well prepared, pretty good wine list Cons: Slow service, wonderful menu descriptions led to false expectations of food quality more

Great value for great steak in Santa Cruz 3/13/2008

If you want a great piece of cooked flesh, this is the spot. No hippy veggies, no whole grain fu-fu stuff. Steak house decor with a meat filled menu. The staff are attentive and aim to please. They are ready to listen to exactly how you want your dsih cooked. Check out the nightly specials; Wends is Prime rib, so damn good. The pork chops are double cut and so moist. The baby back ribs are also a winner. You biggest issue is picking just one. Pros: Great food, good service and great nightly specials Cons: Parking can be limited, intresting mix of people more

Good Baby Back Ribs 4/13/2007

Hindquarter is a decent local?s steakhouse with good chicken and ribs. Good drink values and friendly bar and wait staff make it a comfortable place to get some good down home cooking. Large selection of single malt scotches and specialty vodkas make the bar one of the better watering holes in town. Full menu and 3 TV?s in the bar makes it a good place for singles or sports fans to grab a decent meal while catching a game. I?d say its kid friendly if you have restaurant friendly kids. Good for kids? 1/31/2006

First of all, the food was great. That said, we had our 3 1/2 yr old and 9 month old with us because we were on vacation and didn't have a sitter with us. I researched ahead of time online to find places that were kid friendly. This place said it was good for kids. It is set up to serve kids, but when we walked in I thought we'd just landed on another planet! Everyone was staring at us! We are very conscious of our kid's behavior, but we didn't notice that our son was accidentally tapping the booth with his feet. Another patron rudely asked my husband to "do something about your son." Even the waiter made a comment about how we "needed to get those two home." There were no other kids there. For adults, it was nice, but take your kids somewhere they will feel welcome!!! more

Good Steak, fresh aND Juicy 8/23/2005

Very good steak place. this place is known for their meat! They make wonderful barbaque and some good food. They have prompt service that is relatively good, and the setting is very nice. The room is dark and the place look like an old style bar, full of wood and dark color. Located downtown, it is within walking distance from the Inn. Overall, very enjoyable food, good service and everything is prompt and fun. more

Fantastic! 1/20/2004

Santa Cruz is kind of known for it's veggie and counter culture dining. Well, it's so nice to see the Hindquarter and I was so glad to have a nice big juicy steak! You totally made my night. Even my wife loved it and she doesn't tend to eat much in the way of beef. Thanks and keep up the good work! Pros: Service, Menu, Fun more
