Wow, 20 years going to Jiffy Lube where they check off the blocks for the 15 pt inspection, but don't actually do most of it: don't vacuum, don't air up tires (I used to whip out my tire guage after I'd paid and check the air which was just as low as it was when I brought it in...)
Then I found Hillside Tire & Service! The guys at the counter are very courteous and professional. When I wait to speak to the counter person, I hear remarks like ""yeah, I think If I pick you one up there, it'll be cheaper for you"", or ""Ma'am, I am so sorry. I truly thought the car was done already. Here, please let me take you to work...I want to make this right. This isn't what's supposed to happen when you come here"". That's called Excellent Customer Service. A test of how good a business is, is how well they try to make up for something that they do screw up. The guy at the counter passed that test with flying colors, and the woman got a free oil change, though I believe she declined the ride to work.
I have them do all my oil changes and plan on buying tires there too. As women, we often get the ""female price"" for things. These guys seem so honest that I absolutely don't worry about that here. They are always very busy....due to their reputation...but the longest I've waited is an hour on a busy day, and 20 minutes on a good day.
I can't say enough good things about these guys. By the way, when I first moved here, I asked a lady I met if she knew of a good auto place where I ""wouldn't get screwed"". She knew exactly what I meant, of course, and directed me to HIllside. Very happy I found them.
Oh, when you get your car back, it won't be covered in black greasy footprints with black scuff marks on the door either.....(take that Jiffy Lube!)
Pros: Great Attitudes; Do what they say they do; Great Cust. Svc.
Cons: Very Busy
