soooo overrated it's not funny 8/14/2002

I laugh every time I open an airline magazine and see a list of the top 10 steakhouses in the U.S. because invariably Hererford House is on there which immediately makes me question how good those other 9 could be. If you want to blow too much money on a piece of shoe leather and spend most of the meal getting a whiff of the bathrooms, by all means go here. But if you want a great steak for 1/3rd the price, try the Wednesday night steak special at Paddy O'Quigley's. THAT'S the best steak in Kansas City by far! more

great food, reasonably priced 7/26/2002

Went early to try the Sunset Menu, it's a terrific deal, and served all day on Sundays. Same great food but less expensive if you can get there earlier, during the week or wait until Sunday. Prime rib was cooked perfectly and excellent. Great friendly service. Pros: inexpensive, friendly staff Cons: crowded later more

terrific food 6/26/2002

Visited the KC area and arrived at the Downtown Hereford House just in time to try the new Sunset Dinner Menu, as reduced pricing on the their regular steaks. Excellent meal very reasonably priced, you have to be there before 5:30 but it's well worth it. Pros: great steaks, sunset dinner menu, atmosphere Cons: a little older place more
