I had an appointment for my regular cleaning. I got there a little late and that was not an issue with them at all. They were very gentle with my cleaning because I told them I had a gum surgery few month ago. All brown stains were gone and my teeth felt clean, bright and refreshed. The whole appointment took about 40 mins. So, i find this operation very efficient and customer friendly. They also gave me a bunch of free stuff to take home. more

I wish that i listened to the reviews of this place but i was in so much pain on a saturday that i needed relief .\r 1st they wanted to do a root canal whicjh my insurance would cover but 1200 to finish, then they were talking about a 3000 implant 2nd my tooth was so bad that it couldnt be saved according to a second dentist so greed it was .\r 3rd I needed paperwork filled out so I could get paid and I wouldnt have an unexplained absense on my record which i was giving the runaround most likely i just wanted a sript for anti biotics and not 10,000 worth of dental care I mean they were nice to me but they sucked more

patient for 5 yrs.....often 1 hr late for appts...very expensive......latest appt was for implant surgery.....2 weeks later my right side and lip is still numb//no impalnts yet.......on follow up appt i was told that nerve healing takes time////acted insulted when i asked if he hit a nerve..... more

I first contacted Dr. Hart with a dental emergency on a FRIDAY afternoon and he was a tremendous help to me. I needed a root canal done and he performed one without any fuss. I liked that he can do complicated procedures himself without any referral. He is a very patient, kind, sharp and truly eager to help people. \r If you are new to Back Bay like me, I would recommend that you check out Dr. Hart. I have seen several dentists in the past and I like Dr. Hart the best. It has been easiest for me to communicate with him because he is a good listener and can quickly give thoughtful responses to my concerns and questions. Other dentists tend to rush their work to get to the next patient and delegate a lot of the work to their dental assistants but you're likely not to experience those problems with Dr. Hart. I highly recommend him. \r more

They are complete scam artists. Extremely rude, they only care about your money- which needs to be up front. A complete waste of time. Be sure to get a second opinion, they will try to sell you on things you don't need. They'll do anything they can to make an extra buck. As for the quality of dental work- he is horrible. Strange I was looking for a dentis and decided to look around for reviews and going through several sites. For Dr. Hart's reviews they all seemed to be the same across several sites. That and any time a negitive or neutral review was posted a positive review was posted no more within a month of its post, seems someone would check the site(s) on a monthly basis. Dr. Hart extracted my four wisdom teeth and did such an excellent job that I did not experience any pain afterwards and was feeling as good as new only a few days later. I also had Dr. Hart replace a cracked molar that had been ground down and I have not ahd a problem with that tooth ever since either. I love Dr. Hart's work and cannot recommend him highyly enough. Dr. Hart is a truly talented and gifted dentist. He is extremely knowledgeable and so is his staff. They really take the time to answer all your questions and ensure that you get the best service and dental care possible. I never feel pushed to do any dental procedure and I like being fully informed of all my options. I have a very limited financial budget, so I like knowing that I can postpone certain surgical procedures while I take care of other tooth problems that are more time sensitive. I have been going to Dr. Hart for many years now and feel like I am in the best of hands! My husband loves his work too. \r more

My experience was very good. So-called ""specialists"" could not figure out how to restore my teeth with the help of implants while not ruining my bite. I have been a patient of Doctor Hart’s for eight years now so I think I have enough experience at this point to post a fair review of his work. I think Dr. Hart is an excellent dentist that truly cares about his patients and does great work. I have addressed some cavities over the years and had Dr. Hart change some old silver fillings to clear tooth shade/material fillings, as well as having him fill a few new cavities I have managed to get over the years between my teeth because I do not floss as much as I brush. I have not had any problems with any of Dr. Hart’s fillings so far and I am very pleased with his work on that end too. I also had a root canal and crown put in for a tooth where the cavity had reached the nerve of the tooth and the tooth was no longer salvageable. I have not had any pain or problem with that root canal or porcelain crown since and that was eight years ago. That root canal and the extreme pain I was having because of that tooth was the reason I went to see Dr. Hart in the first place. My husband had Dr. Hart put implants in for two missing teeth and is happy with his new teeth too. I feel Dr. Hart is very knowledgeable and really knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist in convenient (central) location. I had Doctor Hart replace my broken two front teeth with caps and he did a really great job. My two crowned teeth blend in so naturally with all my other teeth that no one can tell the difference, even me! I have a nice looking smile now and would recommend Dr. Hart to others looking for better looking teeth and the increased self confidence that comes with it. I hate going to the dentist. The scraping of your teeth, the drooling. Here, they use modern technology so it's a much more comfortable experience. I didn't wait at all, the hygeniest was efficient and pleasant. I definitely recommend! Pros: Convenient, fast, comfortable more

Appointments easy to make, short waiting time once at office. Cannot comment on Invisalign procedure and outcome other than it is ridiculously overpriced but rather general dentistry and implants.\r experience1: flawless work on implant, crowns and root canals but very expensive\r experience2: shoddy work on 2 fillings. One fell out the other touched nerve and required root canal, Both fixed by different dentist. Will not go there again\r experience 3: implant and bone graft ok but provisional crown poorly fitted causing much pain and was removed. Will see what future holds. Dr. Hart is expensive but I think his work is worth every penny. I had finally saved up enough money to fix my teeth and wanted to replace my dentures with implants. I wanted to get rid of the sunken in look my face had gotten from wearing dentures for so long. Dr. Hart placed several implants in my upper jaw and several implants in my lower jaw and gave me a brand new set of teeth. I look and feel a lot younger now. I can eat whatever foods I want and chew whatever I want with my implants, just like I used to do with my own teeth so many years ago. I feel like my life has drastically changed for the better and I am so glad I finally got my teeth fixed! I have not had any problems with my implants since they were placed two years ago. I just go back to see Dr. Hart 2-3 times a year for routine cleanings and check-ups. It was money well spent. I encourage others with dentures to do the same, if possible. more

I have been a patient of Dr. Hart's for the past four years, so I think I have a decent enough amount of experience now to write a review, albeit I have had work done just to improve the way my teeth look. I started with Invisalign and wore the invisable braces for about a year and a half to correct my slight overbite and then I had six veneers placed on my upper front set of teeth to have a much better looking and whiter smile. I had tried bleaching my teeth in the past and my teeth would eventually get stained again because of all the coffee I drink and I would have to get them bleached again, so veneers seemed like the only long term option. I am very happy with my smile now and I can honestly say that it was worth the wait. I went to the right place. more

My experience was very good. Dr. Hart treated me and my son and we are absolutely happy with the results. My son's teeth are perfectly straight. My own smile is very beautiful and I love the color of my new teeth. Everybody talks here about the price. I actually used to go to the dentist that would charge quite more than Dr. Hart. So, in Dr. Hart's office I felt like I was getting a bargain. Anyway, the most important thing is that we have healthy beautiful smiles and feel good about ourselves. Thank you. I agree with the other negative reviews: all they care about is getting their money! If you check their website, you'll see that the practice is run by a former investment banker. I had invisalign done here with poor results. My current dentist says my case was too complex for Invisalign and that he should never have taken me as a patient in the first place. I'm going back some time next month. If he doesn't fix things for free, i will have my parents take legal action. I hardly ever post to a site like this. I read the negative reviews for New England Dental Center and was moved to add my experience to this site. I have been a patient of Dr. Hart's for 10 years. Due to some bad genetics (both parents had full dentures before they turned 40), I have to see Dr. Hart on a regular basis. I have a medical background, and have been impressed since the first day I stepped into his office. He is kind, gentle, and extremely skilled at what he does. His technical skills are far beyond those of his peers. I find him to have a great bedside manner, and wonderful at explaining my various options. He also is rabid about keeping up with all the latest techniques and equipment....he put in digital xray before most area hospitals even thought about it. I have sent friends to Dr. Hart, and all come back with rave reviews. I can't say enough about him or his staff. They are all equally as kind as him. Anna is a particular favorite of mine. It is obvious that she deeply cares about each of her patients. Their appointment availability is excellent. After a friday lunch, I was flossing my teeth, and lost a filling. The tooth didn't hurt, and I figured it could wait till monday. I phoned Dr. Harts' office at 1pm, was given an appointment for 3pm! (this being a friday with a packed schedule) Initial xrays showed that the tooth had cracked, causing the filling to dislodge. I needed a root canal. Instead of rescheduling me for the following week, Dr. Hart fixed my tooth immediately. By 7pm, I was driving back home. The final comment that I need to make is about pain. I may be the exception to the rule, but after multiple root canals, the ones Dr. Hart has performed have caused minimal discomfort. Not only is his work asthetically amazing, he completes the procedures in minimal time. The prices here are high, but well worth every penny you'll spend. I had one front tooth done in Florida and one next to it in Germany. My smile looked like I had a rainbow in my mouth because of unmatching colors of those teeth. It was very ugly. I finally decided to find a dentist to fix the problem. I ""kissed 2 frogs"" before I found Dr. Hart. One dentist in Cambridge replaced these 2 front caps and made it worse. He made them look to big. The other guy from Newbury street tried to shave them down. He did so to the point that I could feel and see the underlying metal in those caps. I was desparate. To my luck I decided to go to New England Dental Center to see famous Dr. Hart. I was totally impressed with his work. My front teeth never looked more beautiful and natural. Everybody thinks these are my own teeth. Moreover, there is no metal in these caps at all. I would also give Dr. Hart a credit for his speed. He is very quick and does not repeat procedures twice. Everything comes out perfect the first time he does it. ( The guy from Cambridge was taking impression of my teeth 3 times and blamed everything on defective material) . To this day I can not belive how those other dentists could mess things up so bad. Dr. Hart is not cheap dentist, but I think for his such a high quality service he should not ask less. I had Invisalign treatment with Dr. Hart and I am very happy with the results. I have always recieved compliments on my smile because my teeth are white and straight and my bite is good, but I wanted to close the gaps between my upper front teeth. I viewed a simulation of the Invisalign before and after results, so I had some idea what to expect. A year or so later, my gaps are closed. I wear retainers at night to maintain the results, but I got what I paid for and I have no complaints. My teeth became a bit discolored wearing the trays for so long, so I had them whitened when I was done with my treatment. more
