Happy Tails has tremendous potential, but has done nothing but disappoint. In hindsight, we should have never gone to Happy Tails after being warned by a family member of their bad experience. However, due to the daycare's seemingly excellent setup, we gave them a chance that we never should have.
We have two large dogs that are no strangers to daycare or boarding. In TWO separate situations we've personally seen a staff member violently handle and scold our dogs. After confronting the staff member, in both situations, the young girl was unresponsive and uninterested in our feelings about her mistreatment of our dogs - she simply walked away, ignoring our obvious concerns...customer service is clearly not a priority at Happy Tails ""Resort"".
It is frightening to think how our pets are treated behind closed doors, when they are so willing to mistreat our dogs in front of our face. This staff is clearly untrained and ill-prepared to handle even the most typical of dog behaviors.
Don't be fooled by the name and save yourself, and your pet, the bad experience that is bound to happen with a young, unprepared, and poorly managed staff.
It is with the utmost sincerity that I encourage any pet owner that cares about the well-being and treatment of their pet to find a doggy daycare that has more to offer other than a pleasant-sounding name.
