Tourist Trap. Lousy Food!! 12/19/2009

I do not quite understand the positive reviews. These could be bogus reviews coming from the owners and the workers of the restaurant themselves. My story is that my wife and I went to Monterey several months ago and we happened to stop by this restaurant called Happy Dragon. We ordered fried rice and some seafood dish. Both dishes smelled. The meat in the fried rice looked like a leftover and I could say the same about the rice. The seafood smelled pretty bad. This is the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted in my life. This is a tourist trap. Please do not waste your money and try to save your stomach. EATERS BEWARE!!! Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Bad smelly food. more

DONT EVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT 8/20/2007

I have eaten at this restaurant once and Customer Service & their food is pretty poor. I will never eat their again nor recommend this restaurant to any friends & family Pros: Thumbs DOWN more

For the last 10 years, Happy Dragon has been my favorite Chinese food restaurant on the peninsula. They have always been consistently delicious. Their quality is excellent, and their service is wonderful. Plus, they deliver! So, when you're working hard in Monterey, Seaside, or the surrounding areas, give Happy Dragon a call, and treat yourself to a fabulous, affordable meal! May I recommend the broccoli beef with chow mein lunch special. They'll do it ""extra spicy"" if you ask for it! Tell them Jennifer sent you. Pros: Great food, easy parking, fast service Cons: They don't deliver to my house on Fort Ord. :( more
