We hired Steve DeLisi and his band from Hank Lane Music to perform at my recent wedding. I felt compelled to share my thoughts extraordinary experience we enjoyed with Steve and the Hank Lane company. The ceremony and cocktail music set a great tone for the evening, elegant yet celebratory. When the doors opened to the reception, Steve rocked the house! The dance floor was packed all night. Steve was a masterful M.C., bandleader and lead-singer. He is truly vocally gifted, and performs every number with incredible passion. The well-balanced mix of modern hits, old-favorites and classics kept everyone engaged, young and old. All of the guests were blown-away by Steve?s dinnertime ballots, singing Andrea Bocelli and Sinatra. The guy can really do it all! From the initial meeting several weeks before the wedding, through the very last song on the ?big day?, Steve DeLisi put his heart and soul into our event, to give us absolute comfort that he truly embraced the great importance of this day to our family. I have rarely, if ever, had so much confidence in the ability of a vendor of any product or service to meet my very high expectations ? and Steve exceeded them. The Jeff Lubin band made our wedding even more special than we could have imagined. As self-dubbed music fanatics, my husband and I were very particular when it came to selecting the band for our wedding. We had a lot of questions - and music requests too. The Jeff Lubin band was the perfect choice for us. They were completely accommodating and, more importantly, played their hearts out THE WHOLE NIGHT LONG. From oldies to 80s to pop to hip hop, they kept the crowd dancing and created an unbelievable party atmosphere. Their song list was infinite and they had all our guests, young and old, singing and moving to the music till the very end of the night. For weeks, we received phone calls from guests saying how much fun they had and how amazing the band was. And we couldn't agree more. I would never normally write a review, but I feel the need to warn the NY brides out there about the Jeff Lubin Band under Hank Lane. Do NOT book them! The bandleader, Jeff Lubin, argued with me just a few minutes before our wedding reception and refused to announce the bridal party like we requested. He was completely uncooperative and rude. He completely butchered the song that we were introduced to...so much that we didn't even recognize the song! He played the father-bride song 2x in a row! He didn't see that we were still cutting the cake when he played it the first time. He played the mother-groom song 2x during the reception because he ran out of music in his repetoire. He stopped playing for long periods of time, so that the room was silent aside from talking. I had to ask our banquet manager multiple times to find someone in the band to play. I strongly recommend that you find another band to book for your wedding or important event. We spent WAY too much money, and it was unacceptable that the bandleader yelled at me at our own wedding!! more
