I was out of town and had a busted pipe at my rental home with tenants. Chris called me up right away when I left a message, and came over the next morning on a weekend. His guys put in a temporary fix to stop the leak and got my tenants their water back (in bad weather). The busted pipe was fixed within a week. I also use these guys for my home and always receive professional service more

Excellent Customer Service and Quality of Work 7/16/2014

When my dining room ceiling needed repair from a recent leak, I had no idea where to turn. I happened to stumble across handyman matters via some google searches and I'm so glad I did. They weren't even the first company I called but the people I spoke with made me feel instantly at ease and the whole experience was excellent. The owner himself even called me directly to help me understand the repair process and estimated costs. Structural repair 10/28/2013

Kevin and his co-workers did a very nice job repairing a hole in our church caused by a vehicle. They were on time and pleasant to work with and the pricing was reasonable. Excellent, timely work. 10/17/2013

Came out to fix an urgent issue within a day of being called. Were courteous when my baby/kids were napping and respectful of my house and carpet throughout. Very professional job, quickly and expertly done, and came in under the estimate. Would definitely use again. more

Good-natured handyman! 8/20/2013

We hired Handyman Matters to put a dog door in the wall of our house and, unfortunately, our walls are ten inches thick. So he thought it would take him four hours and it came to about eight. He was good-natured about it the whole time and I l liked him a lot. If you need something done, let Handyman Matters be your first choice! Elizabeth C. more

I was delighted with the work work Handyman Matters Northern Virginia did. The work was designed to pass an inspection for the sale of a property and it did, so I can only give them superlatives. They cooperated with us so we could expedite the sale and I appreciated that very much. I think it's important that they're easy to work with. They listen to what the customer wants to have done and go ahead and deliver that. I think any future customers would have a pleasant time dealing with them. They're knowledgeable, easy to get along with, and deliver what they promise. more

Handyman Matters Northern Virginia did absolutely everything I asked them to do in an extremely timely fashion. That is almost unheard of these days but he took exactly how much time he needed to take and when I asked him additional things to do while he was here, he responded quickly and got it taken care of without a fuss. more

Handyman Matters of Northern Virginia helped with a number of repairs related to a home inspection report. There were a number of home repairs that needed to be done, including electrical work, drywall and basic home repairs. They knew this was a time-sensitive request and they were able to quickly provide a quote, arrive on time, and provide an overall good experience. I would recommend them. There are very few companies in the area that can provide and meet the time-sensitive requests of an inspection report, and this is one of them. more

High quality carpentry and friendly workers. 6/7/2013

We got estimates from three companies and we decided to go with Handyman Matters. They took down the old deck planking and replaced it. They also replaced the floor on the screen-in porch, a great big one built about 30 years ago. They came on time and were very efficient throughout the job. It was a tricky job because it had to be measured carefully and fitted under the side rail. They cleaned up very well after. They did a good job, it looks great. We have already asked for another estimate in regard to the ceiling. more

Outstanding product and customer service 5/30/2013

Handyman Matters Northern Virginia remodeled two bathrooms and they did exactly what I asked them to do which is great. The whole experience was very professional, courteous (which means a lot to me because I had multiple bids but I chose Handyman Matters because of their manner in reacting to the customer). They are very customer service oriented, and the product they delivered was outstanding. I got exactly what I wanted. more

Courteous, trustworthy, and outstanding customer service. 5/29/2013

We first hired Handyman Matters to fix a patio french door that had a piece of rotted wood at the bottom. Chris, the owner, came to take a look at it. We consulted with the manufacturer who advised against cutting out the wood because it was a structural necessity. We ended up replacing the whole door and got a new one that was better than the previous one. Chris ended up repairing several other doors in our house for free. But what really impressed me is when we pointed out a few other things in the house we needed fixed, he told us they would cost too much to fix. Instead, he suggested simple fixes we could do ourselves. He ended up saving us money. more

A pleasant experience. 5/28/2013

Handyman Matters of Northern Virginia did minor jobs for us, during the time we were doing some upgrades to our kitchen. I told them what I wanted, they listened, and tried their very best to deliver. Their workers were nice, pleasant, clean, and overall fantastic. George was excellent. He was the person who did some carpentry trim work in the kitchen. We also told George we wanted the under-counter lights to all be connected to a dimmer and he was able to get that done for us. His work on the tile backslash also turned out very well. Overall, it was a very good experience. The workers were professional, they came in and got the job done to my specifications. I have dealt with other service companies and at times it almost feels like I am doing them a favor by hiring them, but this time the work was done for me. It was a pleasant experience. more
