Hames Music

I forgot to mention this in my earlier email, but I need 2 hard-shell cases before I buy a PA or a Mandolin. I have an Epiphone Jumbo EJ 200 that needs a case, and a Martin 12-string. Do you have cases that will fit these instruments? I would even settle for used cases if they were in good shape and the price was right. Thanks again, Sincerely John Begley more

Good: After years of being here in Greenville, and shopping at Gutiar Center for years, I was told to ride up to Gaffney and check out Hames. I found exactly what I was looking for in a Yamaha cutaway, with built in electronics and EQ. A case was even included. Over Christmas I purchased a Martin 12 string from Guitar Center. They didn't even offer me a gig bag!! After spending that kind of money, you would think they would offer some sort of "Perk", even a set of strings would've been a nice gesture.. Bad: There wasn't much not to like. My next purchase is either going to be a small PA system, or a new Mandolin. I played several mandolin's while I was there.. Improvements: The time I spent there was a great experience. I didn't see much in the way of offering any advice for improvement.. Other: I told the sales rep (and I mean it) I will make the ride to Gaffney from now on to make my purchases, as well as my band mates. I will tell anyone who will listen about Hames. This guitar is everything I was looking for and more. I had purchased an Ibanez cutaway at Guitar Center before I made the trip up, which I returned today. Good: Location in proximity to where we live. Bad: Hames Pro service technicians are baseline qualified and very rude. Understands very basics of acoustics, video knowledge very poor. Luckily these guys have the music store or I have a feeling they would not be in business for as long as they have been. The professional installation division, Hames Pro, has ridiculous markups and poorly qualified installers.. Improvements: All around, simply get back to honest practices. Do not attempt to be experts in any area where your installers and technicians have only minimum knowledge, but sure can talk a good game!. Other: Churches, large venues....RUN RUN RUN. You can find better service, prices and quality by simply taking the time to look around.. more

This Hames Music store is a very large store. You can find everything you need here. I Purchase my daughters music books here and they have never been out of what I am looking for. Great selection of music. If you want to finance your purchase they have that also. The people are very friendly and always willing to help. When I go in they ask if they can help me, I tell them what I need and they find it for you and you are ready to leave very fast service. Great place for your music needs. more
