I lived in Corpus for the past 6 years & when I had to move to the Austin area, away from my stylist. After several miscolors & bad cuts at other salons, I decided to try out the Halina?s in Round Rock (it was close to my wedding venue but over a 1.5 hr drive otherwise). The front desk is pleasantly cordial; they don't scream & shout loudly with exaggerate joy when you come in. They are professionals maintaining a calm & therapeutic atmosphere; expect to be offered a smile, a beverage, a magazine, & a seat until your service is available.
Once you enter for your appointment, this is where the real magic happens. The staff is warm, friendly, & offers the best services around. I came in with awful, dry, miscolored, unevenly cut hair & came out looking like a red carpet star. I went to the nail salon with uneven acrylic glued over, under, and on sides of my fingernails due to a horrible "surprise" nail appointment from my bridesmaids. With two days before the big day, I was freaking out! I walked into Halina's & came out w/perfectly manicured nails & no sign of the irritated finger tips that were there only an hour before. I?ve had plenty of bad experiences from other salons & Halina?s took care of me & made to know everything was going to be okay.
The only poor experience that I had from Halina's was due to a stylist who no longer works there (all a client has to do is tell Mary Beth what is wrong and she WILL fix it). Mary Beth immediately corrected the situation & introduced me to Erin, a hair goddess. Mary Beth, Erin, & Shannon are all life savers along with the rest of the staff (I have too many names to share). Trust me, Halina's is the place you want to be if you value great customer service and wonderful salon talent.
On my wedding day I cried three times. Once because the venue was perfect, once because I was so in love, and once because I truly felt beautiful all over when I walked out of Halina's that morning. It is cheesy but true.
Pros: all around wonderful service & very clean
