Perfect Precision Haircut 1/8/2009

I stumbled on to Jezelle by chance after seeing a flyer for her business. I went in, told her exactly what I wanted and walked out with a perfect precision haircut. I have been back to see her numerous times always leaving with a great cut. I love the newsletters she emails me with ideas and helpful hints. If you want a GREAT cut, she is your go-to-girl. more

Jezelle is a hair color Queen! 1/8/2009

What a great find Jezelle was! I call her the color queen because she is. Jezelle had been coloring and cutting my hair for over a year now and I could not be more pleased. Whether it is hi-lights or roots, it is perfect every time. My hair cuts are always perfect and I get compliments on my hair from my friends and husband, which is a true test! If you want someone who truly understands hair and color, give Jezelle a call. You will be glad you did ! more

A Stylist you can TRUST 1/8/2009

After loosing my hair stylist over a year ago I was devastated...had many bad color and cuts then I was referred to Jazelle by a friend and it was one of the best experiences. She really knows her stuff. I was very happy with my cut and color and have been ever since. I am constantly getting compliments on my color even from strangers. It feels amazing to know I found someone that does exactly what I need and want. Also for a very reasonable price!! I have also brought my kids to her and she is very patient and does great with them. I never feel as if she is rushing to get to another client. I am also a huge fan of her waxing she does an amazing job. I would and have recommended her services to everyone I know. Pros: Easy access, calming atmosphere, friendly faces, great parking more

Amazing Hair Stylist 1/8/2009

Jezelle is one of the most thoughtful hair stylist I've ever met. She really listens to what you are saying about your hair, your outlook, what kind of person you want to present to the world. As she listens, you can see her mind working on the final look. I am a natural red-head that overtime has faded to a mousy blond/brown/redish color. You older red-heads know what I mean. She is the only stylist that created my desired hair color, something that matched my original color, the very first time. About 9 months after my initial visit, I wanted a new cut; something drastic, a new look. I gave her some parameters and let her go to work. The final result was amazing! Is still amazing! And I have her to thank. The salon is located in the southwest area of Austin, the northwest corner of Hwy 290 West and Mopac Expressway. I had a gift certificate with Jezelle. Always scary going to a new stylist. She listened to what I wanted and then not only did she do it, it actually worked! I love it! I've found my stylist and can't wait to go back. more

Great Stylist in SW Austin! 1/8/2009

Jezelle is a great hairstylist. She gave me the look I wanted, at a price I can afford. I needed color and a cut. I have been to her three times and I have loved every cut and color. :) She even did my children's hair. The girls loved the special attention that Jezelle gave them. I highly reccommend Jezelle and for me 290 is a convenient location. Pros: Newsletters Cons: Can't think of anything. more

I actually used the same stylist twice! 1/8/2009

I've been trying to get someone to cut my hair into layers so that I don't have to spend hours on it every day, and I've never been satisfied with any haircut. After I get my hair styled once, I never go back to the same person. Jezelle is the exception. I was very fortunately given her card, and her prices were very good so I decided to try it out. I loved my haircut so much I went back to see her on New Year's Eve. When I came home to show my sister my hair, she gasped and said ""Hey, you finally got the layers you've always wanted!"" :) I've recommended her to all my friends, and you should definitely go and see her too! You won't regret it! Pros: Student discount available with ID, and she writes her own newsletter to give her customers tips Cons: It's a little out of the way on 290W, but not hard to find. Worth the trip. more

I am One Picky B 1/8/2009

I have known Jezelle for over 40 years.\r \r For the first 9 or so years of her career, I only ask Jezelle to cut my hair twice and I am sorry to say, I didn't care for the resullts either time.\r \r Then around year 14 something happened.\r \r After much more experience, Jezelle became a Real Pro at making people look and feel amazing. \r \r So I decided to take another shot and much to my delight, she gave me the best cut of my life. I was so impressed that I ask she also highlight my hair as well because as I was getting older, it was looking pretty dull. I must say, much to my surprise the results were really stunning.\r \r All my friends wanted to know ""Who does your hair Suni?"" I then expressed my regret that we do not live in the same state and she and I only visit every other year or so. \r \r However, every time we do get to visit, she works her magic on me which I am very thankful. \r \r She has loved doing hair now for over 22 years and her passion inspires both new and long term clients which I now completey understand why.\r \r I love confidently referring friends who are in her area.\r \r I know if she can please me ""the pickist of B's"" there's a good change she can most of my friends as well. \r \r To me having a Hair Designer who ""Gets YOU"" is such a gift, no matter how far away they live.\r \r Suni Lemke\r Jezelle's Mom Pros: I wish she lived closer to me Cons: None more

Great Haircut! 1/8/2009

Being new to Austin, I didn't know where to go for a good haircut so I went to a fancy salon. A short time later I just couldn't figure out why my hair was undo-able. I went to see Jezelle a couple of weeks later and she showed me that, that stupid ""fancy"" salon had totally butchered my hair. Thankfully Jezelle cut it, fixed it, and I loved it. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about what she does. I would highly recommend going to Jezelle for all you hair-care needs. I love Jezelle!! I moved to Austin 3 1/2 yrs agao and have been trying to find a stylist I could trust and would actually listen and try to do what is best for me. I knew she was great from the first visit. She listened to my needs and concerns (I have wavy hair) and gave me a great cut and showed me how to style it too. Her personality makes you feel like your old friends. I've referred many friends to her and will continue to. She is always prompt and readily available on her appt phone. Best cut ever 1/8/2009

I stuck with the same old haircut for years only because I have superfine and thin (limp) hair that no one has been able to cut into a flattering style. Jezelle convinced me to try something new; nothing dramatic, but definitely updated. I was thrilled! She spent lots of time with me and made sure I was happy with my new cut and style. Other fancy hair places in south Austin charge an arm and a leg for a lot less attention. I highly recommend Jezelle. more

I treated myself to a new hair style last year when I met Jezelle at Color @ Dawn! I was so pleased with her personal care towards my hair and making it look the best on me! I'm not one to treat myself much but I'm headed back very soon as I really liked the pampering that Jezelle gave me! At my last visit she colored my hair and it looked fabulous! She made me feel so special and showed me the best ways to care for my hair or to manage my hair at home (I have very curly hair!) Jezelle has serviced my 10 year old daughter and my 75 year old Grandma, and they all loved her personality and ability! She is conveniently located near Mopac @ 290 and offers flexible hours to fit many schedules. Treat yourself to a pampering session with Jezelle -- you'll be glad you did! Finally someone I can trust with my hair!!!! 12/22/2008

I have finally found someone I can trust with my hair and feel good about it. Jazelle is the best, she is honest and knowledgeble and down to earth. She did exactly what I asked her to do to my hair. For the first time ever, I walked out of a hair place without having all of my hair chopped off and hating it. I intend to be a regular customer and I hope Jazelle never leaves South Austin! Best Hairstylist in South Austin 12/8/2008

I have found the best hairstylist with Jezelle with Colors @ Dawn. I was pleasantly surprised that she knew how to handle my thick, black Asian hair! \r \r The cut was full, clean and simple. She deftly used the scissors and she was good with the razor, too!\r \r Jezelle even showed me how to ""style"" my hair on my own (believe it or not, it was really minimal maintenance!) so that I still have the salon look everyday easily.\r \r The biggest bonus of my appointment with Jezelle was that although I came in feeling tired and having a bad hair day, I came out feeling good and feeling pretty!\r \r Thanks again, Jezelle! more
