I've been to Jezelle twice, and both times she has given me exactly the haircut I have asked her for despite the punk nature of my style and her more conservative technique. Go to Jezelle if you know what look you want and you want to find a haircutter you can trust. more

I found OUR hairstylist!!! 2/12/2009

I just had my second hair cut and style by Jezelle at Color @ Dawn. After my first visit, I was excited about knowing exactly where I was going the next time! And that's really means something to me. She is a wonderful down to earth people person and knows hair! When anyone asks me, ""who did your hair!"", I'm proud and excited to say ""Jezelle!"". I recommend her to all my friends and those of you out there still looking for YOUR hairstylist. Pros: Really knows hair, competitive pricing, relaxed but state of the art atmosphere, park right out front! Cons: can't think of anything more

Jezelle is very easy to work with and listens to your requests. She is easy to get an appointment with and has very fair prices. Her location is easy to get to and she is always punctual. I really recommend her and you will not be dissapointed! Pros: parking, easy to find, skilled stylist more

BEST COLORIST I've ever had :-) 2/9/2009

I just left Jezelle's about 1 hr, 40 minutes ago and she has NO IDEA how elated I am about the excellent work she did in my hair. I am a predominately black woman with relaxed hair and I hadn't had my roots colored in about 4 months. \r \r I had a HORRIBLE previous Auburn color treatment prior to seeing Jezelle and my hair was so fried and damaged. Needless to say I walked in Jezelle's shop looking a HOT MESS and I walked out looking like a beauty queen.\r \r I loved how she took out her time to do a strand test and mixed the perfect combination to restore my Auburn back to life. \r \r And to top it all off, she is the biggest sweetheart and so accomodating!\r \r Her number is now on my speed dial :-) I do obviously HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Pros: She listens and delivers exactly what you want. Cons: I hadn't met her sooner. more

LOOK NO FURTHER for a Good cut/color/price! 1/29/2009

I met Jezelle by accident when she stopped by Bowie High School to give the great teachers there a discount coupon for Teacher's Week. We clicked immediately and I made an appt. the next day. She suggested a new cut and did a beautiful highlight & all for a very reasonable price. I can attest to her consistency because Ive been to her a number of times now and always walk out feeling so grateful I found her. I have referred friends and family and they all have experienced the same satisfaction. We now have booked her for my daughter's wedding. Jezelle is as kind and passionate stylist as I've ever met and her one goal is to make her client happy. I really hope she loves it in Austin because her customer base is never going to let her leave!! Pros: Easy to get to, great prices, and pleasant atmosphere more

Jezelle is warm, competent and professional. I love getting my hair done with Jezelle because she listens to my requests, has great hair advice and I get a wonderful cut. I also love my color and receive compliments on it. It's easy to get to and a very relaxing environment. more

Best haircut in a while! 1/28/2009

This was no quick visit, as Jezelle took the time to discuss my hair and preferences with me, then gave some very good suggestions and advice. I felt valued as a customer and Jezelle really seems to care about her clients. Since my first appointment two weeks ago, my new hairstyle has been very easy to manage and still looks great. I will definitely make another appointment. more

Someone finally listened! 1/14/2009

I've lived in Austin about a year. I'd been going to a well known salon and even though the atmosphere was great and they did a good job with color I couldn't get my stylist to listen to me about the sort of cut I wanted. I saw an advertisement for Jezelle in the val pak and decided to give her a try. My husband thought I was crazy. I showed Jezelle an older photo and asked if she could make my hair look like the photo again. She did great! For the first time in months I thought my hair looked good. She has a nice personality also and is easy to talk to. more

Great at highlights and stylish cuts 1/14/2009

I was looking for a hair salon south and came across Jezelle. She has a great breadth of expertise. I was pleased with her recommendations on both cut and color. She does what you ask, but can also give advice if you are interested. It is obvious she has lots of experience and is good at what she does. more

Great result, Great Price!!! 1/13/2009

I set an appointment with Jezelle but was worried on how my hair would look like after a haircut. It was my first haircut since I arrived in Austin. Good for me I decided to go! She handled my hair perfectly just like I wanted. I was also able to use the $20 coupon from citysearch. Great haircut, Great Price! more

Very impressed! 1/13/2009

Jezelle is awesome. I don't get my hair dyed very often, because I have naturally curly hair and it tends to dry it out. But I tried out Jezelle after recieving a gift card through my work- and was I ever impressed. She took care of me right from the start and guided me in choosing a highlight pattern through a cap which was a much more natural look. It was a little darker than I would have liked- but she reassured mt that because I was an outdoorsey type of person that it would lighten through out the summer. And it did- I can't tell you how many compliments I got on the coloring and highlights. It was my perfect summer look, now I need to go back and get it darkened for my winter look. Comfortable Style 1/12/2009

The first thing I noticed about Jezelle is that she's extremely personable and easy to talk to. As far as her skill as a stylist: I've never walked out of an appointment with her with anything less than what I asked for. She asks how I want my hair to look and actually *listens* to what I say in response. Then, she does it! Not like those stylists who think they know what you want or what you *should* have done. Plus, her prices are very reasonable too. \r \r She's awesome! Highly recommended! more

Contrary to my user name, I'm not an elderly man, I'm a mature woman who had let her hair go for way to many years. Then I found Jezelle! I wanted a complete change, but not too drastic. Jezelle listened and I got a great look. Permed but not Poodled 1/10/2009

Great cuts without getting scalped, Perms that don't make you look like a poodle, friendly smiles, warm heart, lively conversation and more than reasonable prices. \r Jezelle is all style! I've had many salon experiences but none better. Look no further. Your hair will love her! more

Jezelle's got talent!! 1/9/2009

I love getting my hair cut by Jezelle. The salon is very clean, professional, warm and smells good!! Not only did Jezelle cut my hair and do a great job at it, but she has just an all around awesome personality and a great sense of humor that completely made me relax and enjoy my time there. She takes her time and does not rush anything. She will make sure that she understands what you are looking for and what you want from her before she begins.
