We always experiment with my hair, which is always exciting, because she is absolutely amazing with color. She definitely helps me express my personality through my hair. I've been going to Mel for a long time; she is the best listener when it comes to asking for what you want. She doesn't just cookie cut your hair; she actually conforms your hair with your face structure with the style you want. When it comes to texture and shaping, she is the best. I have short thick hair and when she is done I feel stylish and hip ! Very friendly, consistent environment with upbeat staff ! more

Melodie has been cutting, coloring and highighting my hair for almost 10 years now. She is great. She always knows just what to do to keep me up to date and professional looking. I have thick difficult hair too! People always give me compliments on how great my hair looks. Love the shop too. Very comforatable, relaxed atmosphere. more

Don't waste your money!! 10/14/2009

I don't even know where to begin with this horrible experience...But before I get on a tirade I will just give you the facts. I have dark blonde hair and all I wanted was highlights touched up and lowlights to the already hilighted portions to get more balance for the winter months. (I usually go heavy hilights in summer and light highlights in winter/fall) I walked out of there with BROWN hair. My whole head was completely light brown. NO hilights at all. When I tried to explain what I had wanted done, the lady argued with me and told me ""you said you wanted it back to your natural color!"". #1 My 'natural' color IS NOT BROWN! it is dark blonde, and #2 I asked for LOWLIGHTS of my nautral color, not my WHole friggin head! So she redid my hilights to try and get what I had asked for in the first place..HOWEVER, now my hair is overprocessed and damaged. My hair length is to my shoulder blades and it is falling out by the handful because it has endured so many chemicals. I WILL NEVER go back to this salon! I suggest you ask yourself if you can deal with your hair falling out before you take a chance with this place also. Pros: got me in right away Cons: Owner is RUDE & stylists can't do hair to save their life! more

I have been goign there for about 13 years. They have alwats taken great care of me no matter who has done my hair. The highlights are exceptional and they tend to be faster than most places. more

Good Service 2/28/2008

Shelly cut my hair. When I needed it to be touched up (my hair is difficult to cut - thick curly dry ) she was very gracious. Took her time and even flat ironed my hair to make sure the cut was perfect. I think she's great! Pros: Good service Cons: parking more

Very Satisfied with Hair Magic! 1/11/2007

I was very happy with my hair after leaving Hair Magic! It was exactally what I had wanted. At first I was a little nervous because I was geting such a drasitic change in color and in cut but the lady that did my hair put all my nerves to rest as soon as I started talking with her... after talking to her for a short time she was able to see exactially what I had pictured and I love it!! It is a beautiful place. Very comfortable and the view out back is exceptional. The employees were alI very friendly and well presented. I definitely reccomend this place! Pros: Everything Cons: Absolutely none. more

your worst nightmare 10/20/2005

went in for highlights, left with MULT colored hair! Red, orange, yellow. I have NO idea what happened! You'd think she never did a HL b4. When I showed her I looked like a freaky skunk, she acted as if she had no idea HOW it happened. Used EVERY excuse why it wasnt ""her"" fault..it was ""mine"" (apparently) from was it THAT time of the month? To ""maybe your hair is like an african american/hispanic"" (my whole family is blonde/blue eyed, I have lght brown) was there for 8 hours total (including her TRYING to fix it) never once offered water, magazine..nothing. Obviously got their diploma from a cracker jack box..is there ANY beauty salon out there that can do BLONDE highlights and NOT orange or red or dark yellow?!!!! sigh Pros: close to home Cons: cant highlight, not personable, X x-cept responsiblty more
