I have been going to Hair International for several years now mostly because they know how to cut and color my hair. It was very difficult before I found them as I have a tough he...

Worst

I think they have very inconsistent service. I got a part-time stylist who trimmed much too much hair off and gave me a non-style, even though I showed here exactly what I wanted...

I am a client of Marie T.'s and have been going to her for several years now on a monthly basis. She is wonderful, professional, and excellent at what she does. In general, the staff and atmosphere are warm, courteous, and professional. I also really like seeing the diversity of both clientele and professionals who work at HI. I think this is one of its best assets. more

I have had Sandy as a hairdresser for several years. She is always pleasant and does a good job. Tiffany has filled in for her when she has been out of the salon and she also is a very pleasant person. I drive from nearly Morgan Hill to see these two ladies and I find that ---they are worth it !! more

Alma is the best 3/22/2011

It's always great to get my hair cut and highlighted by Alma. I'm allergic to the dye and she knows exactly what to do to avoid any reaction. Alma is the only colorist that I have been to (and I have tried many) who can pull it off and it always looks great! Alma is the best! more

Walk-in service really work 3/21/2011

I have been using Hair International for approximately 2 years and will continue to go there. The walk-in service really works every time if you do not have an appointment. The level of hair care is excellent and and the rates are 'real'. I use this salon for hair treatments, cutting and color and I do recommend it to friends. more

  • Hair International celebrates it's 22nd year at Stanford Shopping Center in Jan 2012. We have been voted best overall salon and best men's salon in the Palo Alto Weekly "Best of Palo Alto Readers Choice" award contest for five years in a row-2007,2008,2009,2010 and 2011.

    We take a real interest in our community and send stylists to the Woodside Priory and the Menlo School for all their senior fashion shows. we take part in "Locks of Love" helping girls donate their hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients. We are involved in an at-risk teen program "Spark", wherein we provide a mentorship spot for 2 students every semester. Our most important contribution has been visiting sick patients at Stanford hospital and servicing their needs at a very minimal price. We have done this for 22 years, and it remains the most meaningful of all we do.
