The food is great, and consistently so. So much so, in fact, that a few weeks ago I literally ordered the same dish from Hackey's two nights in a row. They take care to pack for delivery very deliberately, and it's appreciated: they wrap veggie toppings for burgers in foil on the side, so the lettuce and tomato don't get soggy! They even wrap canned sodas in foil to help keep them cool. On top of all that, Hackey's has always beaten the delivery estimate for me: they always get here early. more

I have ordered from Hackney's many times. I love their burgers and have had the regular, inside out, and the artichoke (my favorite). I always order on the dark rye bun - love the taste. The chicken club quesadilla is also amazing - love the sauce they use. But my favorite, OH MY FAVORITE is the Snickers Pie. Even with delivery, always arrives nice and cold. I probably order from here once a month when I'm craving a delicious, juicy burger. Love this place! more

OK - This place is amazing. I've been ordering burgers from Grubhub for a long time looking for somewhere that can do a good job and this place has it in SPADES. Food was piping hot. Fries were crunchy and delicious. Burgers were cooked just perfect and still hot too - it was like the delivery guy had just stood outside the apartment building and cooked it all fresh. Such a big departure from the cold burger and soggy fries you get from most places. Will most DEFINITELY be ordering again! more

I really enjoy Hackney's at Printers Row. Friendly atmosphere, extensive beer list (although I am not an expert personally). Food is very good and plenty of it for the price. Feel very much at home there. more

It has great outdoor seating in the summer, but the food is unorginal and definitely not very good for you. The onion loaf is tasty but a heart attack on a plate! We have been to Hackney's before, so this is not a one time only review of the place. It is a great place to go to eat. It is a little crowded in the dinning room because of all the tables they have in there. And that's because alot of people eat there. So except to bump elbows and other body parts with other dinners and or the wait staff. Hey..it ain't no problem thou. The selection of beers and ales is wonderful. They match all the food Hackney's serve. OK the food. Since we have eaten there at least 5 times before, we were expecting one of those juicy large tasty burgers. Well the meat was not so moist, it was medium cooked w/ pink in the middle. And the flavor was off, not what we remembered of past times we ate there. The other people at the table thought the meat was ""mushy"" with an ""odd consistency"" more ""chopped and formed"" then ""real burger ground meat"". The fries, as always, were great. The clam chowder soup was right on, mouth watering. Get a bowl because their soups are great too. Now expect to pay more for your food then a chain or some 'greasy spoon' joint, but it is still alittle costly for our pocketbook to go on a more regular schedule. So will we come back to eat, from our usual one month absents? Probably so. Because Hackney's is a great place with a good selection of delicious food. Leave your car at home and take the bus which drops you off right in front of Hackney's. I took some out of towner customers there last week rather than a stuffy overpriced steak joint. Well, It turned out to be a good decision as we all had a great meal & the atmosphere was super friendly, which my customers loved. My only regret was that while I was talking my head off all night, I didn't get to enjoy one heck of a patty melt. It was awesome! I can't wait to get back there so I can take my sweet time, swill a few pints & enjoy every bite. more
