First, you got the wrong Hackney's. The one on Harms is barely a ""kissin' cousin"" of the one on Lake for food and ambience. The Harm's Hackney's indoor seating is like a run-down circa 1965 golf course pro-shop. The out-door seating you describe does not meet the standards of my last backyard. As to the food, the burger's are WAY over-rated and esoteric in their variety and preparation (a bleu cheese burger, give me a break). And that famous onion loaf...picture it served on end still in a brick shape and oozing cooking oil onto the paper towel underneath. Ymmm!
Pros: in town, quaint (old), good bar - need it
Cons: parking congestion, LONG WAIT, food average, pricy
