Suburbs in the city 8/7/2002

It's great that us City folk don't have to make a field trip to the ""land beyond Ohare"" anymore for a great Hackney Burger. The recent addition of a South Loop / Printers Row location puts Hackney's right in the neighborhood. Pros: Great burgers, Outdoor dining Cons: Crowed, Too small location more

I was a small child the first time I ate at Hackney's. This was my parents favorite Chicagoland restuarant for burgers & fried onions and now it is mine. Their Bison Burger is the Best! Pros: Reasonably Priced, Brick of Onions, Excellent Burgers! Cons: None, Very Busy at times more

I've been enjoying Hackney's for over 30 years. Their biggest plus, CONSISTENCY! I now have to drive 25 miles 1 way to enjoy their fabulous burger and it is so worth the ride. Never disappointed in food, service or cost and their hot fudge sundae is to die for, better than most ice cream parlors! Longevity speaks for itselfd 7/18/2002

I've been going to a Hackney's restaurant since 1955. The quality has been consistent (even though the prices haven't obviously) at every Hackney's I've been to (all but in Palos). The hamburger with grilled onions on dark rye (The Hackneyburger) is only enhanced further by an order of fried onions in a loaf. Pros: Relaxing, Easy parking, Great value more

I love Hackney's (both restauants) My fav. is the onion ""Loafs"" yes these are brick size and compact. Hamburgers to die for. If I have to say anything bad about this place I guest it might be the ambience it could use a little something more and it is kinda dark. Great place to have a family get together! more
