THIS COMPANY HANDS OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN THEM PERMISSION TO. I did not leave my phone number with them, but they catalog it in to their system from Caller ID. They do not ask permission to do this. One employee got my number from their system then called and left an incredibly rude voicemail telling me I'm ""out of my mind"" when I complained about his attitude. Then he called me again a SECOND TIME. DO NOT EVEN CALL THESE PEOPLE. more

H.O. Electric installed light switches, outlets, panels, dimmers, smoke alarms, outside lighting, light fixtures, recessed lights, cable TV, telephones, a hot tub, a generator, circuits, Jacuzzi, track lights, etc... I thought they were great more

H.O. came out tuned up my generator,they did a great job. H.O. does Electrical,plumbing and heating. They are the company to service all your needs. more

The morning of Hurricane Sandy,I left the house with my Lutron WholeHome system working and came back an hour later and it was not turning lights on that were connected to it. I had power but not in the rooms that were connected to the Luton panel. I called H.O. Electric because as I searched Google for a Lutron electricians they popped up. They responded very fast and was told that they will send out someone within a couple of hours. I again asked if they were familiar with the system and was told that they've installed hundreds. Two very nice young men showed up an hour later. I showed them the pane in the basementl. They stayed down there for about 25 min. When they came up they told me they had bad news because since the system had no surge protector it got a power surge and burned out and it would cost me $5,000.00 plus about an other $500.00 for a surge protector. I asked them if they were sure about this and they told me they were and they have taken photos and emailed them to Lutron and to a friend who was a Lutron engineer and both of them agreed that the computer was burnt out. When they left I went on Lutron's web-site and emailed the company if it was possible that the system comes without a surge protector. They emailed back that it does come with it but it is possible that a big surge can burn the protector out. I again went on the website and requested a Lutron representative to get in touch with me. Next day I got a call from a representative to whom I told the story and she gave me the name of a company that they always work with in the Boston area. The company itself got in touch with me within minutes and they asked me a few questions and asked me to send them a photo of the panel. They also said that since I told them that there were several green and red lights flickering was a good sign that meant that the computer system was still working.Next day an electrician (engineer?) came out and within minutes established that the processor and not the computer was burned. He had to go 30 min. away to a supply store to get two of them,just have one extra, for$25.00 each. His service call with travel time came to $300.00. The whole thing cost us $325.00 plus a spare processor. more

I got the scheduling I requested, great service, no problems, pricing seemed reasonable, superb customer service, I paid by credit card, can't say enough about the experience.\r I called for another job and had the same great experience.\r I would highly recommend them to anyone. They now do plumbing, heating, and cooling jobs as well! more

STAY AWAY! ILLEGAL. \r \r The owner is horrible and charged me illegally. I told him I have the invoice which in writing says they're waiving the fee since it was their fault, and he replied, ""I can override receipts."" I'm currently writing up my complaint to the bureau of better business and notifying my bank to block this charge. But if you want to avoid the hours spent dealing with all this nonsense, just stay far away from HO Electric. \r \r I called HO to have a light hung today, and on the phone said I needed this done today, and rep said they could since they have a 'warehouse' of all the tools necessary. Upon arriving, the workers said they'd have no problem doing this today, and asked for my credit card. And right after charging my visa, the worker said he actually cannot do it today. He then told me that he felt responsible and it was his fault since he thought they could do it today, and so wrote me a receipt for $0 total cost. In the reason, he says ""unable to meet the job, $59 dispatch fee waived."" \r \r Then the owner calls me and says unless I want them to do the job (the cheapest option for job was $1500!!! and other places quoted me a few hundred), he is going to charge me the $59, and doesn't care what my receipt says. more

I have a Casablanca ceiling fan that wasn't working properly. I called H.O. Electric and was very thankful I did. Will (Mike) was very professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, and customer friendly. For a house call they were very reasonably priced and timely. I highly recommend their service to all. Casablanca is a top notch fan and H.O. Electric is a top notch company! I will definitely use them again. more

I had a problem with my power on the night before thanksgiving, my entire house was completely out of power due to a circuit issue. I woke up early and looked for emergency electricians on Google. I called a place that was on the top of the paid search results and was told that i would be called back soon, I also called H.O. I told the person on the phone that I wanted to see what they had for appointments on Friday as I couldn't afford the emergency pricing. This information did not stop a technician from calling me back within minutes and spending 40 minutes on the phone with me. He was kind and I really felt like he cared about helping me, even though I am sure this is not what his plans were fro 8 am on Thanksgiving morning. He had me email pictures of all my breakers and was so patient as he walked me through getting most of my power back on. He asked me if I felt like this was a manageable solution until the technicians could come out and it would be more affordable for me. It was!!! I was thrilled to have power back for my roommates and I was able to be on the road and made it to Thanksgiving with my family. I really felt like the person on the phone cared about getting my power back. I really recommend H.O Electric. I will update this review after they come out and give a permanent fix, but given the care that I have received this far, I am confident that I will just have more great things to write. I would like to mention that as of 5 pm on the Friday after Thanksgiving I have not received a call back from the other"emergency" electrician that I called. If you need someone who will be there when you need them, call H.O. more

I recently used H.O. Electric for the first time. They replaced the exhaust fan in my attic, as well as installed a screen, which is something they normally don't do. The workers did very well addressing my concerns, and were helpful. It went quickly, too. The work itself was totally fine. There were a few negatives in the peripherals, however. All the promotional stuff--get these savings if you sign up for this plan--took away from the experience. They try to sell you on certain plans and tell you what the work will cost with each, and I thought if should be just one price for the thing. Though the work was great, I have to detract points for this part of the experience. Jerry Brown more

I needed a fan to be installed and didnt know who to turn to. I searched online and everywhere I went I noticed HO Electric. I decided to give them a call and actually got an appointment for the very next day. The guy was right on time and was very nice. He came in and explained to me what was involved. He sat down with me and gave me a price to put the fan together an d to hang it up. I was impressed. I agreed to the work and the guy got straight to work. In no time it was functioning and I was happy. I will definitely use this company again for other projects I may have. more

I had two outlets that had stopped working- a simple thing but it can be difficult to get someone in, especially for a smaller job. The great thing about HO is that it's a company with a team of people behind it, so you can always get someone on the phone. I had called a few independent electricians and got calls back from them 2 days later.. I called into HO elecrtic and got someone on the phone right away who took all of my information, and booked an appointment right away. The electricians then showed up on time, and walked me through what they were doing. Price was the set price in their book. Within half on hour they were on their way. more

When I needed cable tv in my house, I called the cable co. but they said I needed an electrician. I did not know who to call but read great reviews about H.O. Electric. I gave them a try and was glad that I did. My experience was perfect. Nice guys showed up in uniform and charged me exactly what they quoted. more

They were very responsive in taking care of my request. Pricing is something that yet has to be determined due to the circumstances on the first call, but there was only a $59.00 service call charge which was more than fair for the trip. But overall, S.O.S maintenance will use them again. Thank you more
