I had a problem with my power on the night before thanksgiving, my entire house was completely out of power due to a circuit issue. I woke up early and looked for emergency electricians on Google. I called a place that was on the top of the paid search results and was told that i would be called back soon, I also called H.O. I told the person on the phone that I wanted to see what they had for appointments on Friday as I couldn't afford the emergency pricing. This information did not stop a technician from calling me back within minutes and spending 40 minutes on the phone with me. He was kind and I really felt like he cared about helping me, even though I am sure this is not what his plans were fro 8 am on Thanksgiving morning. He had me email pictures of all my breakers and was so patient as he walked me through getting most of my power back on. He asked me if I felt like this was a manageable solution until the technicians could come out and it would be more affordable for me. It was!!! I was thrilled to have power back for my roommates and I was able to be on the road and made it to Thanksgiving with my family. I really felt like the person on the phone cared about getting my power back. I really recommend H.O Electric. I will update this review after they come out and give a permanent fix, but given the care that I have received this far, I am confident that I will just have more great things to write. I would like to mention that as of 5 pm on the Friday after Thanksgiving I have not received a call back from the other"emergency" electrician that I called. The guys came to my house because I had no power to half my house. They solved my issue and explained in detail what happened so I could understand. Great service from start to finish. I will be using these guys again. more

Great group of guys. My basement lights were out and I needed an electrician right away. They came out and explained my problem to me. They gave me an up front price which was very helpful. I will definitely be using these guys again. more

I appreciate your strong effort in getting my heat going. It was a cold night with out it. Your technician was knowledgeable. the price was reasonable. No one else even returned my phone calls until the next day. By then, my pipes would have froze. more

I called H.O. to see if they could help fix a short-circuit problem. When I politely asked over the phone for a ballpark cost estimate, I was told that they could not provide this. Fine. The catch was that they charge $60 just to come out and provide an estimate, which I was told by the rep would not count towards the repair cost. Okay - so I would have to gamble on this. I decided to go with another contractor. The conversation ended here after some further explanation by the service rep of their policies. What really offended me was that 5 days later, the manager called me up to chew me out over giving the service rep a hard time. I believe I was completely pleasant and fair with the service rep. But even if I was not, this is no way to treat customers. Avoid H.O. Electric. more

Look into this company. they changed their pricing and made it so that I knew exactly what the job would cost, even if it took longer than expected. i didnt pay more, just the price that was presented up front. This company was on-time, clean and professional: not what I would expect from a contractor. more

After coming home to an outage at my home, I called several electricions for prices. After temporarily fixing it, I waited for more to come and visit. H.O. electric was very expensive compared to the others. This was in spring of 2005 more

H.O. Electric replaced the Belmont High School flagpole lighting in time for the home football game. H.O. Electric discovered the flag pole lighting installed previously by his son Ben Oven for his Eagle Scout project had been vandalized. Although the project had been a great success, Ben had to live with in a limited budget. As a result, an inexpensive surface mounted fixture was installed. This method proved worthy for a couple of years. Howard Oven, Owner of H.O. Electric came up with a better design to improve the lighting, eliminate potential vandalism caused by youths, and gain years of service for sport fans. H.O. Electric trenched the area near the flagpole and installed well lighting. “The lights are now buried into the earth. This should avoid someone from kicking the and potentially vandalizing the flag pole lighting. The community will now be able to see the flag they salute at the games. Hopefully, Ben’s Eagle Scout legacy will also carry on. I’m happy to contribute!” According to Howard, The United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Paragraph 174 states: “It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness.” H.O.
